Summer Weekend Getaway at Stratton Mountain Resort with Legends of Tennis!
Stratton Mountain, Vermont – Stratton Mountain Resort, a premier destination rich in tennis history will host a weekend series called “Legends of Tennis Getaways” this summer, as announced by Scott Colebourne , Director of Tennis for the resort’s Drysdale Tennis School. The series will be held on four (4) weekends throughout the 2009 summer season: July 10-12, July 17-19, August 7-9, and September 4-6.
Tennis legends, Cliff Drysdale and Roy Emerson will instruct and host 15 hours of tennis throughout the weekend, act as guest commentators for the participants’ tournaments, and join guests for cocktail socials and meals. This VIP Tennis Experience is also available as a lodging package for a perfect summer getaway in the Green Mountains of Vermont.

Throughout Cliff Drysdale’s celebrated career, he netted 35 singles and 24 doubles titles. Another title he proudly held, off the courts, was that of founder and first President of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) where Drysdale went from making the shots - to calling them.
