How did you master the twist serve with ideal consistency, height, and spin

Good day Tennis addicts,

I'll like to open a discussion on how some of you guys have unlocked the secrets of a solid 2nd serve: the twist serve!

There are quite a few players that have a solid topspin serve (6-12 o'clock) but find it difficult to execute a "twist" serve (7-1 or 2 o'clock for righties) on a consistent basis. This is especially true in the deuce court for righties and ad court for lefties. I've found it easier and more reliable to hit a twist serve on the ad court with good height, depth, and spin but I feel I Iose all of it on the deuce side. After hundreds if not thousands of practice kick serves, I still don't feel confident the ball will bounce the way I want it to. Specifically, when I have good height it lacks sidespin or vice versa.

So, I if I may ask anyone who is willing to share: How in the world did you master the twist serve on both sides of the court?

Thank you for your time. Now get off that chair and play some tennis! Or just workout if you can't handle the weather.

Cheers,

Alvin with no chipmunks
