Defending champion

A lot of people voted for Nole to win Miami, not just here, but on every board.
I felt that Nole wanted to prove something by defending he title. In my opinion he did have something to prove, and that is that he's capable of winning a title and going out about a week later and defending one, ala Federer and Nadal (Nadal is a better comparison I think because he's been able to do this consistently on his best surface at his age).

What do y'all think happened with his first round loss? Do you think he can defend his other titles??
