I watch a little bit of tennis and I've always been interested to learn tennis but intimidation always comes before motivation but finally, I just bought my very first tennis raquet and hopefully this is it..I want to learn tennis! So hopefully, I can meet some people who are in the same boat so I can join in..

    It's all good, we all start there too!  I've actually started hitting against a wall too, based on the advice of a couple of people.  I do play with a few beginners too, which has its merits.  For one, I have to increase my accuracy so they have a chance at hitting the ball.  So believe me, I don't mind, as long as I'm on the courts.  A cousin of mine started playing (never been on a tennis court either) middle of last year, and now he's actually competitive with me.  As long as you're willing to put in the time, you will get better.  Are you pinoy, by any chance?

    Hey Jo, yes, I'm pinoy, but more mestiso.  I was born in the PI, and lived there for 12 years before moving here.  So I speak tagalog fairly well.  I can play on Tuesday or Thursday anytime after five, and I usually play with my friends or a pinoy group on weekends, at a park off La Palma and Dale.  I'm looking to hit the ball around later today, so if you're up to it, give me a holler here or send me a text at (714)293-6323.  Thanks a bunch, and have a great day!

    Hey Jojo, that was fun last night!  My legs and back are actually sore again this morning.  It's always good to play different people, because of different playing styles.  Hope to do it again sometime, maybe next week.  In the meantime, take care.
