Very new to tennis! My tennis practice thus far has been confined to hitting against a wall. I have only learned the one-handed topspin backhand stroke, and even that needs work. BUT, I do practice about 3 or 4 times a week. I just want to be able to practice with someone because right now I can't afford lessons. Possibilities might include feeding balls to one another to improve strokes, etc. Anyway, I really want to play with another beginner who wants to learn, too.

I like playing against the wall at Rancho Cienega Sports Complex and the courts, which are currently under repair, look like they'll fix up real nice.

    I tried a Yonex RDiS 100 100 midplus a doubles partner had customized. It was not the 93 mid, but he had put lead all around 9 and 3 o'clock, power pads, and a Volkl silicone buttcap. Felt very smooth and the right weight, with great plow and plenty of spin. I don't know what a non customized one would feel like, but it's not hard to do it his way. :)

    Hey Giselle,

     

    How are you doing today? Im relatively new to tennis too and we're in the same boat when it comes to not being able to afford lessons and wanting to get on courts to improve via drills and good old fun rallies. Hope we can get out on court sometime to practice and improve. Im around the Silver Lake area and I know some good courts (lighted and free) we can go to. Im currently avail to play any time!

I also saw you commented on Cana's page, if anything we can all meet up and play together. Just throwing that idea out there. :] I know a few drills we can do with three players on court!
