    Hi Roddy,
Andy Roddick, Justine Henin and Vera Zvonareva have teamed with us at Great Friends Greetings to bring their fans a totally unique and fun gift item. You can design and personalize a top quality custom printed greeting card that appears to the recipient to be from Andy or Justine or Vera! (Of course, you can also identify yourself as the gift-giver of the card, which we'll print on the back.)

The cards are beautiful one-of-a-kind keepsakes to be saved and displayed, likely to outlast most other, pricier gifts - a perfect way to express good wishes. Please take a look and feel free to spread the word!
    Thanks, Angela

Hi Roddy! Welcome to the tennis social network which connects tennis players, fans, coaches, and you. We created this place last December and it has been a wild ride ever since - we've gone viral and now we're "almost famous".

    What can you do here?
    At Tennisopolis, you can:
    - meet other players. Here's a primer on how to find partners.
    - join a Group. Members have started over 230 Local Groups (and other types of Groups too.) Search for one in your area, or start your own.
    - follow the pros. There are over 1000 blog posts on Tennisopolis. Have a good read, or write your own.
    - improve your game. Get tips in the Forum and check out video lessons.
    - post your own Videos or embed your favorites from youtube.
    - add your own Photos.
    - and just hang out and connect with great people.

To get started, please upload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, or your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.

Thanks to everyone inviting their friends, we now have over 17,000 members and we're growing by 80 new members a day. Invite yours too!

If you need any help, let me know.

Roddy, did you leave the shop for a while? I asked about you last year (February 2008) and they said you weren't there. I know you were teaching at the YMCA at the time. It was actually kind of funny because I went to Pro-am to get a racquet restrung and the guy working told me you were gone and that they had changed their demo program. Well I had a match that night and was used to you lending me a stick for an evening and was totally taken aback. I told the guy I had gotten at least six different restringings there and had bought a Flewpoint a year before, but he wouldn't budge and he even went so far as to gesture behind himself to a groupf of racquets and tell me, "Well sir, if you aren't happy and never come back, as you can see, we'll still have plenty of business."

Ain't that crazy? Are you the owner now?

The tournament went really well. I gave out your cards and told everyone what great customer service they would get at Pro-Am. When he heard that I knew you, Tony Kamen of Naples High asked if I ever had the misfortune of trying to return your serve. I said I hadn't. He said that if I ever did, I better back-up against the fence and put on a helmet, because you hit absolute missiles... lol... He said that seriously, nobody in Naples had or has a better serve than you. This coming from a pretty high level player himself in Tony. Maybe someday I'll get to see for myself...

Hi Roddy! So, what is ProAm tennis. I went to your website and see that it is coming soon.
  • Tim Prapong

Thanks for the add! So 15x18 must put serious spin on the ball. I've only heard of 16x18-20.
  • Steve Tran

    Congrats!

Are you a lefty tennis player? Represent here: http://ning.it/i5mxLr
  • Tim Prapong

    I had a Tecnifibre 320 which had 16x20 and a Gamma G325 with a 16x18. Love the open patterns for sure. :)
  • Tim Prapong

I have four Head Pro Tour 280s and four Head Radical Tours with the 18x20 pattern. Because they are very flexible (56-58 RA), I get the gobs of topspin I want, along with the control for my heavy slice backhand. I tried the Aero Pro Drive and didn't get the plow I get with these 350 gram classics. :)

Hi Roddy, you are moving up dude! I see you dig the Midnight Machete gear, check this out: http://tennisopolis.com/profiles/blogs/new-leaderboards-contest

Good luck. Would love to see you at the top!
  • Tim Prapong

Yes, I demoed the Pure Storm Ltd. but liked the Tour GT version much better. The Ltd. felt too "teardroppy". I prefer a rounder head to get a more evenly pocketed loopy spin. I would of course lead the baby up to 350 grams and hope it felt like the Pro Tours. I found two from the same seller on ebay in near mint condition. The other two I found at a local used tennis shop near Pasadena who is a Head fanatic. He also sells on ebay under "tennislicious".

Those Speed Pros felt rubbery to me, yet had that high stiffness rating. I'm hoping the new ones with Innegra are less stiff and twangy. :)
  • Tim Prapong

The Youtek Prestige Pro or Mid were the ones I liked, but didn't have that plow. I haven't tried them leaded up. But the Microgel Prestige Mid with Big Banger/Becker Bomber copoly hybrid played very close to my Pro Tours, believe it or not.

Thanks bro for letting me know about this...Cool can't wait to crush it with the new stick!!!!

How's the conference going? When are you coming back? I spoke to that woman Lani (Prince Red) and she is going to come in and feel the 4 1/4 and maybe even play with it. Then she'll make a decision to build it up or not.
