Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
I play with Club Sport San Ramon USTA 7.0 Mixed Doubles, women's 4.0 and ,Fall and Spring leagues. I play Bay Area Ladies League (BALL) with San Ramon Valley Tennis Association,.. Lots of league play!
Favorite pro tennis player(s):
Not sure why, but I really like Andy Murray. I think his game is interesting. I root for Andy Roddick, USA! Just sat at a table next to him at the Mexican Restaurant at La Quinta during Indian Wells. Taller than he looks on TV.
My tennis skill (please check your NTRP if you know it):
Not bad, NTRP 4.0
On the court, I am a:
rightie, slicer, poacher, doubles partner, returner, two-hander, lobber, all courter
My favorite local courts:
I play all over the place, mostly in CC County, although all over East Bay for league matches.
Hi Sharon! It's great to have you here!

We are all very excited to have created this "community-based" tennis website which puts the focus on the members.
To get started, pleaseupload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.
If you are looking to meet people for tennis matches, Join the group in your area and introduce yourself in there. Some groups have regular meeting times and some are more one-on-one and flexible. If there’s no group in your area yet, start a group page for your town and invite your tennis contacts. It's a good place to keep in touch with everyone in your circle.
Tennisopolis is also a great place to network with people all across the country and talk about this game we love.
Other places to explore:
- come talk tennis in the forum
- add your own photos
- post your own blog entries.
Hi. We created an Avatar Grab Bag where you can get an image for your picture. Here's how to do it:
1. Go to the Grab Bag.
2. Choose a pic, click on the thumbnail, then right click on the image and "save picture as" and save it to your computer.
3. Click Change My Photo below the gray head image to the left.
4. Click the photo graphic and choose "upload from my computer".
(Or, if you want to be truly unique, do the same thing with any photo you find on the web.) That should do it. If you have any questions, just send me a message.

Hi Sharon, thanks for getting back to me on this message of mine from November. You know, I only played in one match because 8.0 was too much for me too. I am very happy at 3.5 and playing 7.0 Mixed. But I have been playing some singles. Let me know if you want to play some time. I work in San Ramon and I can play some evenings after work. Right now I am captain of a 7.0 Mixed team, and it is taking up a lot of time, but I can work around it.
hey thanks for coming out tonight, pleasure to meet you. hope we get to team up sometime. invite your lady friends out sometime. it would be great to expose the men to mixed doubles. it would wake them up that women play good tenns too...
most of the group are on my email list. im not using tennisopolis as an email tool. if you'd like to be added, send me an email to: dkuboi@sbcglobal.net
Hi Sharon, just so you know our Thursday eve drop-in has moved to Dougherty High School. We will soon be adding a second drop-in on the weekend at Central Park. Anyways, I know you belong to many tennis leagues but I'd like to practice with you when you have the time. Aloha.
hi sharon. im sorry to hear youve been sidelined. at my monday night workshops at osage i always encouraged my students to stretch before warmups. get well soon. we all would enjoy having you. hey ive been looking to coach a usta team or privately. if you or anyone is interested, let me know. we can work something out.
at your level, its not really about learning to hit strokes. its more about strategy and execution. its not about social doubles. its about being strong, competitive and winning.
clinics are more about stroke improvement. when i coached the usta 3.5 ladies, i covered doubles strategy, and about smart play, 1st serves, cross court returns, lobs, volleys, and taking control of the net. its about shot intention and knowing what to anticipate. you can be a 3.0 but if you know how you play smart, you can play at a higher level.
