Grew up playing tennis. 4.5-5.0. Getting older but still very quick! Give lessons to my children. Looking for someone to play singles with in the East Bay that is 5.0 or higher. I want to improve my singles game. I am in pretty good shape can last through 3 setters with no problem.

Hi Derek! It's great to have you here!
Join the Bay Area Group and introduce yourself in there to meet people for matches.
We need an Oakland Tennis page, click that link to start it.
Please Invite your buddies. We’re trying to reach 20,000 members by Wimbledon. :-)
If you need any help, let me know.

We are all very excited to have created this "community-based" tennis website which puts the focus on the members.
To get started, pleaseupload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.
If you are looking to meet people for tennis matches, Join the group in your area and introduce yourself in there. Some groups have regular meeting times and some are more one-on-one and flexible. If there’s no group in your area yet, start a group page for your town and invite your tennis contacts. It's a good place to keep in touch with everyone in your circle.
Tennisopolis is also a great place to network with people all across the country and talk about this game we love.
Other places to explore: come talk tennis in the forum, add your own photos, post your own blog entries.
Herique, can you call me after 9am tomorrow at 510-393-9871. I can play between 6pm-8pm if you can Thursday evening. Then I have to go to SFO to pick up my dad.
Thanks
Derek
hi derek. unfortunately i dont have much time from my office, getting home and to the courts by 530p. perhaps another evening in the week or weekend could be arranged. right now, im giving a tennis workshop for 8 adults monday evenings, and private lessons for juniors on wednesday and sunday evenings. i havent played competitive singles in years, and only been playing social doubles. how about you?
hi derek. thanks for your info. it seems we might have compatible games. i didnt play tennis in jr high or high school except for PE so i had limited instruction. ended up learning on my own, tennis magazine and watching matches on tv. like you, ive been giving lessons, coaching but not competing. why dont you come out to the thursday drop-ins. i see you are the leader of the eastbay group. you have many members, but no one to challenge you?
