    HI Mark,
I'm so glad you added me as a friend, well I'm really excited to begin playing tennis, I'm 21 and still going to college, I actually don't know anything about playing tennis, so that I added a tennis class for this summer and from there I plan to continue learning. Is there a website where I can purchase cheap tennis rackets and other things?
    Thank you

Thanks Mark - Interesting that the idea came from the that "tennis store" chat board - you are right, it's mostly about selling product. Tennisopolis is way better! I may see if I can get some of my other peoples over here.

    Hey Mark,

Congrats on your website. Cool idea!

We are featuring TENNIS in the Summer 2008 issue of Go-Play Miami Magazine and are offering "dot com" ads for $99. This would be a great way to spread the word to Miami tennis enthusiasts about your website. Our circulation for this issue is 25,000 and we will be heavily distributing to tennis clubs, tennis shops, tennis camps, etc.

Visit www.goplaymiami.com and contact me at karen@goplaymiami.com if you are interested in working together.

Thanks for the kind words mark, I'll try recording and editing tonights match (provided I win...). I like the bulk uploader, is the time limit 10 min or is the only restraint the filesize? If you're ever in the Miami area, let me know, I'll make sure to video tape you bageling me. I'm also a fellow software engineer FTW!

Check out this video from LaCoste, it's amazing:

I appreciate the old school player but I sure would like to play tennis with the guy in this video.... actually I just want the futuristic equipment! Hope your enjoying this site after 1 month, it's a great place to meet some great tennis players.

  • Steve

Hi Mark, thanks. It's just a pic of the sun.
  • jackson

    Mark,
Nice web site... I will pass on the word.
Q, If I did not print my French Open picks, where can I view my bracket?
    thx; jl
  • TennisPlaza.com

Yeah, I don't think tennis will change that much in 75 years, sort of like what they thought the car of the future would be back in the 50's, I do like the magnetic racket. Seems like you would just need to recharge it instead of restringing it..... take up less space in the tennis bag too :-)
  • J

Hey Mark! Long time no speak, but I haven't had much time on the computer, as I've been practicing for RG. Today was a challenging day, but I pulled it off in straight sets. Nice job with the site! Hopefully we can sit down and have a chat about tennis someday.
    JB
  • Marusia

    Mark,
thank you for the welcome. I uploaded a few shots from US Open 2007 - just for you. I see you've been around a few tournaments as well. For all we know, we sat next to each other at the Indian Wells :)
  • Protrainer Tennis

Hey Mark... Yes, I have delivered about 50 to resellers and have already sent one to Golfsmaith Tennis for consideration in their stores and catalog. I will soon have them for sale during the Baylor tennis camps through the summer. I'm doing all I can to get this product going. Once they become known and players see how much they improve the overall game and how fast they work, we should get a foot hold in the market.
    Thanks for asking...
    Bill

What meet-up? What other members? How do I find other members? I joined the Gilbert group but don't see anything going on or anybody near me. This is the most confusing website I've ever seen. Are these Comments what pass as emails or IM's on here?
  • Audrey

Thank you for the welcome Mark. Great what you've done here!
  • Hutch

How do i change my email address on the site without having to create a new account?

    Hi Mark
I have some ideas about optimizing the website for certain keywords that people are searching for about tennis on google, yahoo, and msn and getting you on the first page of search engines for those keywords. I did it for my website. I am second on google for the keyword tennis in Marin. First for tennis private lessons in Marin, tennis group lessons, semi private, coaches, and many others. I think it can add many more members to your website.I work with a very professional company that can guarantee results. Please let me know if you would be interested in this.

    Thank You,
    Sander Zaydman

Mark - great site, easy to navigate, nice idea. I'm connecting with players in the western suburbs of Minneapolis. A nice enhancement would be ability to send messages to select group of players (not all) at same time. Perhaps this is possible but I haven't figured it out yet. I'm certain you will hit your 20k user goal in no time.
  • Martin

Mark-Thank you for your welcome Muchas gracias!

  • Jason Lampione

    Dear Mark,

I haven't been on tennisopolis as much as I would like...however, I wanted to follow-up on some key ideas that can benefit the website and the tennis community abroad. Some of our collaborative thoughts should be implemented on this site, especially those that can ascertain more user friendly faces and perhaps a donation section for anyone that wants to help support the vast majority of online users coming to this great site. I would like to start a section called tennisopolis online coaching...by Jason Lampione...forward commentary by Mark. The access to the feedback is all free of charge of course it's just a great way to energize the community and help fuse the current gap in today's coaching world. Like always, please feel free to comment back, and I know you always do...have a great week.

    Sincerely,

    Jason Lampione
