World number one and arguably the best clay court player of all times , Rafael Nadal has been knocked out of this year's French Open by Swede Robin Soderling in the biggest upset of the year so far. The 6-2, 6-7(2), 6-4, 7-6(2) defeat is Nadal's first on the red clay of Roland Garros.

"If you can beat Nadal on clay in Paris then you can beat anybody," six-time winner Borg told the press.

"I think that Soderling can now win the French Open."

played great in beating Davydenko yesterday, he has a good chance, it will be interesting against Gonzo, two big hitters, who will break first?
Gonzo should take this bum out. If not Gonzo then Fed will be happy to drop a couple of bagels on Robin to take his 1st RG title
Well, I was doubting Soderling too - never thought he'd back up us Rafa win by beating Davydenko who was looking so good. He also beat Ferrer - who loves clay! I'm picking Sod over Gonzo, even though this is a very different matchup as Richard pointed out. Forehand against forehand.
