Hi Brandy! I've been out of play for a couple of months with a shoulder injury and have just started playing again in the last week or two. I'll email you with dates, places and times.

Hi all. I just moved to Killeen and I am looking to get involved in weekly play. 3.5 singles, I also play doubles and mixed doubles. If anyone is interested in hitting you can message me at brandycoty@hotmail.com

Hey, folks! Does anyone know if you can play at Belton High School, Temple, Salado, or anywhere else that's free in the area? I'm a total beginner and would like to find somewhere that would also possibly be quiet so I wouldn't embarrass myself too much.

Also, I posted on here about a year ago and never got around to playing. I'm going to start drills at PRCC in a couple of weeks thanks to the advice of this board (Missy in particular!). Thanks! Really excited about learning the game!

Calling all tennis players!  Central Texas College in Killeen is hosting the Golden Eagle Tennis Tournament again this year.  This is what a friend of mine lableled a "hit and giggle" tournament - just for fun, not a USTA event.  If you play you get a Tshirt, if you win, you get a plaque and bragging rights.  Tourney is May 10 - 11. Entry form is attached. Would love to see a big turn out for this.

I wouldn't worry about humilating yourself.  We're all pretty easy going and the range of players is anything from beginner to seasoned veterans. We're just out there to have some fun and hit some balls.

Looking forward to meeting you on Sunday!

Thanks Missy I will definitely give him a call and register today. Kind of excited I'm going to drag one of my friends to a court Saturday just to hit a few balls, in the hopes I don't humiliate myself out there too bad Sunday.

Hi Charles!  Glad to see some other folks are getting on this board.  We do Sunday Funday tennis at Peloton Ridge Country Club in Harker Heights every Sunday afternoon at 3:00.  You don't have to be a member of the club or enrolled in the tennis program.  We usually do some drills to warm up and then play matches.  The cost is $5.  If you'd like to join us please just register ahead of time with the head pro Jeff Contreras at 254-493-0217.

Hope to see you out there!

Hey everybody thought I'd finally try this site. I've been going to craigslist to find tennis players in killeen. That's been a bust and I'm not that familiar with Texas so I'm not sure about driving a long distance just for 1 match. Honestly I'm out of practice as I'm in the army and none of my friends play tennis. I've gotten a few to give it a try but they come out there like they're Fernando Gonzalez and swing for the fences and don't understand just keep it in play. So I haven't played a real competitive match in almost 3 years. I'm not a pro, self-taught from watching matches and just playing more.Have no idea what NTRP is. I'm no beginner but I'm rusty and will take a few matches to get back at the level I was at before joining the army. But my footwork and speed will more than compensate until I get my mechanics back. So anyone in the killeen area or know of people in this area who plays hit me up. I'm in the army so weekends and and nights are going to work best.
