Anyone interested in starting a regular tennis group to play weekdays evenings 3.0 to 4.5.

Hello,

I'm interested in starting a regular tennis time weekdays evenings. If anyone is interested in playing regularly, getting back in form and getting back in shape, let me know. The more the better. We can play singles or doubles or mix and match. Let form a regular group.

I didn't know you could hit Saturdays home court.

Hey John,

I'd love to add a some more regular or irregular hitting to my week. I'm in So. Pas. about 20 minutes from you on the map. I have courts right here we play often. Maybe we could take turns and each make the drive every other week. Home and Away, haha. I was jumping out of my skin this weekend, dying to play with my neighbor injured. If you want, let's try Saturday and go from there.

Hey Rock, that sounds great.  I'd love to do Sat morning.  No worries on driving or taking turns.  I usually play with some guys in Valley Village and I'll probably keep hitting with them on one of the weekend days, so driving to South Pas is no big deal at all for me.  If 11 works for you let me know where the courts are etc.  Bryce has my email if you don't want to post the address here.  Looking forward to hitting!  --John

Hi John,

11 am sounds great! There are two parks we play here now -

1) Orange Grove

South Pasadena, CA 91030

2)

815 Mission Street
South Pasadena, CA 91030

(626) 403-7380

Both are nice. Garfield more green and open, Orange Grove more protected. Take you pick and we'll meet at 11 am.

Google is messed up. Gives Orange Grove for Garfield. Garfield is around 1810 Mission.

Hey Rock, either one is fine by me.  They are both about the same distance from my gf's.  So you can pick wichever you like better.  Will we be able to reserve a court, is there usually a wait etc.?  If one usually has more availability then that would be the one I would pick because I hate waiting for people to finish.

Orange Grove is right here. No reserves on either court. Never had a problem, but they are only about a mile apart so if one if full, we can try the other or just go to the SoPas HS. They have many courts and also less than a mile.

So Orange Grove 11 am Sat?

Sounds great!!  My cell is 310-227-7834, in case you are running late or need to reach me.
Hey Rock, just realized I'm all out of tennis balls, let me know if you need me to grab some tomorrow morning before we hit, or if you have some.  --John
I have about 1,000... but we probably want them to bounce. I had three fairly fresh, but those are just two now. Arroyo Seco is just down the hill. I can grab some there.
Hey Rock, great hitting yesterday.  I'll be outta town next weekend b ut let's try to do it again the following weekend.  --John

Hey John,

Why you can reply to some messages and not others is a mystery... Two weeks sounds good. We're not going to let you retire 2-0, haha.

–Rock
