Tennisopolis : Tennis Social Network

Hi Everyone: I'm just getting back into tennis after not playing for a bunch of years. I played a lot as a kid, but got distracted by college and career. I've been playing regularly again since July and am taking lessons. I'm looking for someone to hit the ball with or do drills between classes.

My guess is that I'm probably a 3.0, edging up toward a 3.5. I have solid ground strokes and am working on developing some variety. Serve needs work. I'm learning a lot in my tennis class, but feel the need to practice some of my new skills more. Most of all, I just really like to play and am so glad to be back at it.

I live in Berkeley, but am happy to drive someplace to play. I'm generally free Tuesday and Friday evenings and weekend days as well. Cynthia

I would be happy to hit with you. I am in El Cerrito so North Berkeley or Albany would work for me since in is in the middle for both of us..
Courtney: Great! When are you available? If it's easier, feel free to contact me at: cecoburn@berkeley.edu and we can schedule something. Cynthia
Hi there,

I have been looking for someone else getting back into it after not playing a while, and played a lot as a kid. But I am not taking lessons, good for you! I am in NW Berkeley, near the Cedar Rose or James Kenney. This week is kinda packed, could play Tuesday @6, else next Tue or Fri around same time...let me know.

Thanks,

Jon
Jon: Would love to play. Cedar Rose is close to me. Next Tuesday is a possibility (10/12). Send me an email if that's easier to coordinate: cecoburn@berkeley.edu. Cynthia
Hi Cynthia, if you're still looking for people to play with, let me know. I started playing in middle school, played competitively in high school, then stopped for quite a long time. My game isn't as consistent as it used to be, but I think I'm slowly getting there. I think right now, I'm around a 3.5. Like I said, let me know if you want to play!
Yes, I would love to play! Feel free to send me an email if that's a good way to coordinate: cecoburn@berkeley.edu. (I haven't figured out how to use the website to communicate, other than posting to the whole board.) Cynthia
Hi Cynthia
I'm a 3.4 player and looking for a game tomorrow, Sunday, October 9, probably in the afternoon after 3 or in the morning early, around 7. I live near the Hopkins courts in Berkeley so it is a good place for me to play.

Hi Sibella,

I wish I could, but I'm super super busy this weekend. Some time during the week--possibly Monday--could work. I'll see how much work I can get done this weekend and let you know if I'm available another time during the week.
Hi My schedule is very flexible right now, i'm about the same level as you, plus i live near berkeley. Call me anytime!

Hi Cynthia --

My story somewhat like years. Used to play a lot...but I'm from New York City where finding courts and scheduling games can be a hassle. Drifted out of my regular game a couple of years ago. Now I'm out here for a couple of months, and would love to hit the ball...and see how much of my old game I can find. If you want to try and find some time just to hit -- at courts in Berkeley (on Hopkins?) or Memorial courts in Albany, let me know. Direct e-mail: therobertrosenblum@gmail.com
or cell phone 917-971-4761. Out here visiting a daughter who just had a baby...so time on my hands, and easy to schedule at your convenience.

Bob R

Hey,

I am looking to hit some balls tomorrow morning, let me know if you are interested.

Thanks,

Howard
