Sounds like youre on the right track. Make sure when you take a little power away that it doesnt change your swing. You still need to follow through across the body. If you are barely missing, keep aiming to the outside part of the box. This will ensure you have the most amount of court to hit to. When you feel comfortable, start to bring the serve back to the inside but remember to come over the top a little more when you do.
the best thing you can do is get to your lesson early and hit practice serves. Try to hit serves 2 times a week for about 10-15 minutes each time. Practice 1st and 2nd serves, also try changing your starting position around a bit. Maybe you will find it easier to serve from a different location.
Hello Mike well i really wouldn't know where my lvl is, and everything is solid with serves being a little inconsistent but i have been working on that and is making progress and i use lots of top spin on my forehand shots and hit the ball deep and with a good amount of power, but one of my least favorite shot is my backhand as that is the worst shot as well, and it seems every time i get hit a close backhand or a ball close to my body i usually go for a in-side out winner which usually works but when i get a backhand i use a 1 handed and whenever i try to hit the ball with top spin and some power i end up sending the ball right under the tape of the net and i have tried to bend a little and pick up on the ball but so far has not worked and i have been repetitioning it over and over again to get used to the shot as i have hit countless forehands and dont need to think about my form on forehand as it rarely goes out but my backhand has suffered and hurts me during matches as some people take advantage of it and have a hard time asit is very inconsistent, what would be your advice to fix up this 1hb of mine?
