Tennisopolis : Tennis Social Network

I am a motivated beginner and I'd like to get into the groove and make this an ongoing activity in my life. (I played in high school but I won't count it). I live in Waikiki and would like to play in and around the area. I can drive to other areas if it is on the weekends. I'll also need your pro advise on selecting the right gear. I hope there is someone out there who can offer their help. Mahalo!

Aloha Selda,
My name is Leilani Magee and I am the principal of Hawaiian Isles Tennis, a Hawaii based ning platform community tennis network. You are welcome to join at www.hitennis.net. HIT is just starting to use discussions in groups to help members network for practices and match play. There is an Oahu Women's 2.5 group and a 3.5 group. I'll get a 3.0 group started too, hoping this gets you closer to your goal of playing tennis.
All the best,
Leilani
Hello Selda,

I work frequently in the Honolulu area and would love to find someone to hit with. I usually stay in the Waikiki area, but I have no problem meeting wherever.

I'm going to be out in Hawaii for a good part of January. If you are interested in playing, please let me know.

Hope to hear from you!

John
Hi Selda, are you still interested in playing?
Hi Connie, yes I am. Kapiolani Park would work great. We can meet next weekend if that is ok with you. It would give me some time to buy my racket. Happy New Year!

Next weekend at Kapiolani Park would be great. I played against my boyfriend yesterday at the Kaimuki Park courts (it was the first time I've played in awhile) ... made me realize how much practice I need! If you're looking for a new racket, the Sports Authority over on Ward has a sale going on. I just bought a new Head racket yesterday for a great deal. Talk to you soon! Happy New Year!

Thanks for the sale hint. I will definitely check it out. Let's get in touch mid next week so we can arrange a time. Do we need to reserve the space?

Hi Selda,
I just picked up a racket on Saturday for the first time in years and absolutely loved it. Needless to say I am a beginner but very motivated to improve my skills. I live in Waikiki and have access to 2 courts here in our building and I am available most weekday mornings. Email me if you would like to join me this week.
