Hi Amy ~ I am a beginner and have been taking lessons in West LA. If you are still looking for someone to practice with, let me know!

I am free all week after 7:30pm. I usually play at Memorial but the lights are terrible so I switched to Marine Park. Let me know if some night this week works!

I'm in the westside area, and we can play/rally next week or soon thereafter. Let me know your ranking range and then when/where.

This weekend or next week are good. Tuesday or Thursday at 6pm are fine. Sat and Sun I'm pretty flexible too if you have time.

Also, what courts did you have in mind?

I found this great web site:

it has all the courts listed in LA public public.

Hi,
yes I do work a 9-5, rather like 6:30 type jon, but can leave at 6 one day.

How about this Thursday?
Also, is this the best way to communicate with a comment, not sure I just started using the site.

Hey Amy! I hadn't played in years either until a couple of months ago, so we're probably pretty evenly matched. Do you work a 9 to 5-er? So we could play like 6-ish on a weeknight?

Hi Doug,

Yes Overland and Culver sounds good to me. I am not sure exactly what courts those are.
Let me look into it.

that will be fun to get some "practice"

Amy: Your level of play is not a prob. It's better, actually. I really just like to hit and volley and run around and sweat. I could use some work on my serve, but as long as you can hit it across and I can, we'll have fun. No pressure whatsoever. If you know a good place to play, I can meet you around, say, 6:30 on Wednesday.
I've played once at a place on Overland and Culver, and I also know a place down on Alla south of Washington. Kinda depends on what part of CC you're in.
Let me know.

Hey Amy! I'm definitely looking for a partner. I can play most any weeknight after 6pm. I'm a big fan of the free courts at 14th and Olympic...

Amy:

I'd love to play. 6:30 sounds pretty good. I've got something tomorrow, and the Lakers playoff is Tuesday. How 'bout Wed.? Where are you? I'm West side/Santa Monica/Venice. Usually play over toward Penmar Park on Rose.

If you're down with playing, please e-mail me directly: dfraiche@earthlink.net

Hi! It's great to have you here! This is our *new* generic welcome message that, fortunately, is required due to the enormous growth. We're growing by 100 new members a day, and we just couldn't keep up. But that's a good thing. ;-)

Invite your friends too. :-)
If you need any help, let me know.

You just joined a super fun and infectious "community-based" tennis social network which connects tennis players, fans, coaches, and you.

To get started, please upload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, or your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.

If you are looking to meet people for tennis matches, Look through the Groups or create a Group of your own and invite your tennis contacts. It's a good place to keep in touch with everyone in your circle.

Here’s a primer on how to meet other players.

The Forum is really the hub of the online community. Other places to explore: post youtube videos, add your own photos, write your own blog.

…and just hang out and meet great people.

Welcome aboard,
Mark
