Hi Angela

My hame is Matthew. I live in the East village. The only court that I know of that has night light is on the West side near Christopher St. I went there yesterday but the net were not up yet.

I don't know about brooklyn. But in manhattan, there are lighted courts on the lower west side on the hudson river. These courts, as far as I know, do not require a permit, but it's first-come, first-serve.

There are also lighted courts at Riverbank State Park a 138th/Riverside. You need the State of NY permit to play on these courts (or you can try your luck and walk on. you'll be fine as long as there is no Park monitor there). Just be aware that this is different than the white city permit that is accepted at Central Park, LES and Riverside Park
