Perfectly lame topic to get the ball rollin........... I know we have a new mega golf and tennis shop on capital, but since I live in durham i haven't been there yet and can't remember the name. I'm looking for a shop that has lots of racquets to demo. Omega sports has a pretty ok demo policy $5 for 2 days.......but they only carry wilson, prince and babolat (for the most part, and the one in durham) I think the Omega off 15-501 is about the only shop we have in durham...........so we're hurtin in bull town.

I really want to get over to the new Golfsmith (I think that's the name) open where Best Buy used to be on Glenwood.... they have an indoor tennis court! I don't know if they let people on it to demo equipment or what. Didn't realize there weren't that many places for raquets in Durham. There has to be a tennis center there with a pro shop - they usually let people demo stuff.
Yeah, thats it - Golfsmith. Sounds pretty wild - I'm gonna have to check it out this weekend. I hope they have a large selection of strings. I just put some new babolat synthetic on.........$40, but they were on sale for $25 so i tried em out. Gonna be hard not to fork over the extra $20 when they're not on sale anymore. Omega sports serves its purpose ok for durham though. There is a market for another shop though, during the season they have their string machine going pretty much non-stop.
Last time I was there, Golfsmith was very nice. The indoor court is great - perfect for testing equipment. And the selection of rackets, shoes, balls, accessories, etc. was pretty wide.
