Hi Tim, thank you for the consideration - the OC is quite a large area (3 million people & a large square mileage) and based on the mountainous geography & travel limitations to/from the beach cities, they are not a probable, regular playing area for people in Irvine - and there are a wealth of quality courts (private & public) and avid players in the Irvine area.
As for the South Coast Metro group - maybe it was the indiscriminate name or lack of specifying Irvine, but its been nearly 2 years since there was any activity in that group, which to date has only 2 members. So I doubt that group will actually serve the needs of our area.
Of course, I cannot say how quickly the Irvine Group will grow, but the Hollywood / LA Group I started several years ago when I lived there is one of the top 10 largest on this site and like there, I definitely feel there is a need here, in this community, even if you just understand the urban planning and layout of this city - its quite unlike others.
This would be a great way to help connect players of the various ethnicities & cultures of our area through the game of tennis. I feel it would be unwise not to allow the chance.
Thanks for the compliment Tim. Since joining Tennisopolis, I have always found your comments to be level-headed and sincere. I am preparing for "Old man/new racket vs young man/ wood racket 2013" by doing more weight training than I have ever done before. I think it will be the difference between losing in 2012 and winning in 2013.
Sounds great! How about tomorrow Saturday? Here are my contacts, for easier communication: long2556@gmail.com - (310) 351-6583. Looking forward to meeting you. Long
Bro I just scored, one of my friends teaches in Beverly Hills and they were selling a machine from the club....scored a great deal thanks for checking and yes let's hit soon ciao
Thanks the Woody match was in the bag. Derek really had no clue to what was coming. But i will be coaching derek to improve his game so that in my absence he will destroy the areas players.

Yeah- it was actually a pretty sweet experience, 1st rave, just not so sweet of town (at least the part I was in lol). I've got to go work on a project right now though, if I ever go back to San B I'll be sure to bring my racquet.

I'd be careful if I were you about making fun of other cities. I had the opportunity to experience some of San Bernadino's finer points first hand : )
