Tennisopolis : Tennis Social Network

Hi,

I just moved to South Pasadena, CA from San Francisco. Anyone have a recommendation of where I should shop for a tennis racket in SoCal or even in SF?

I'm just a casual recreational player. I've only played with Babolat or Wilson oversized graphite rackets and I've been happy with them. I'm looking to get a nice one that's on sale for approx <$75.

Otherwise, I was thinking of just shopping at Sports Authority. But I don't like how you can't demo or how they don't have workers that play tennis there.

Thanks in advance!

I really don't know, hoping to have folks pick up in Riverside. Let me know about the shipping charges and I will see if I can do that for you.

Hi Doreen,

check out this place called Racquets Rackets http://www.yelp.com/biz/racquets-rackets-arcadia they are in arcadia they are great with helping you choose a good racket and their demo program is one of the best they let you demo 2 rackets at a time for the price of one, and to top it off they are professional stringers they actually travel on tour with the pros and string their rackets, the owner just recently strung over at Indian wells stringing Roger Federer and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga's rackets. He has pictures and videos of his travels and experience over the years of stringing for the pros, whats great about it is that the second you walk into their shop they have a glass case of ACTUAL pro rackets that were given to them and signed by the pros as well that they have collected over the years.
