This goes back to what i was saying a while back when i was trash talking with Derek D.

The rating can change depending on where you are at.

Im a solid 5.5 everywhere nation wide but when i played Derek D i was 6.0 ready.

and in my last tournament i was 5.0 having a 4.5 guy giving me a tough time but nothing i cant handle.

I believe you are at your best 1 level up and at your worst 1 level down yuou can go by half or by whole.

so a 4.5 guy can hurt me but doesnt have enough experience to beat me a 5.0 can give me a run for my money 5.5 guy its a tough fight and a long run.

A 6.0 can get me in straight sets if im not prepared. but i can  take a win against a D1 college boy easy... but the more experience players older D1 guys are tougher.

actually this whole thing was a serious question because I don't know how strong ntrp is anymore.  I ran into Thom Sugita of Honolulu, Hawaii fame last week, and he was saying guys are playing two levels down from where they were to do well at Nationals...  and I thought Hawaii was already playing the sandbag game as it is sooo... I can't imagine how strong it is now.  If she's 4.0 though, then that makes me 3.5 wooohoo packing my bags on my way back

Well Tim, it's hard to rate a player higher then 4.0 when they use what looks like a 110 or bigger stick......:)

Guess that says something about Thailand, my friend. As for the guy, that guy is you. lol

tim, i'm looking at a video. and it's from the back. if there was footage taken from the side and a front view then it might be different. she can get away with being a 4.0 but just needs a little work.

Wow she's the women's age 35 national champion for Thailand. Meanwhile the guy is a legend In his own mind

When doing NTRP there is a level change between the Men and women. if not she is a 3.5. but competeing against other women who dont train for tennis she is a 4.0.

there is a female tennis pro that works PT at the club she is a solid 4.5

she cant touch me in a match even though she is in better shape and  is taller. but against other women she crushes them. 4.5 are rare. I ran into some ladies in TN. who are solid 4.0 4.5 players winning and going to nationals USTA. they hit very hard but lack soft hands and touch. and anything weak they crushed but against me with soft hands they couldn't understand why i can get away with hitting soft shots. so i had to teach them about soft hands and the ups skills.
