This girl and her family have a dream, it is their right to do what they think is right.  I hope everyone here is trying to help.  I think that we need to encourage their actions.  I have seen this girl play at the clay court nationals last year.  I think she can do it, she is certainly the best 9 yr old right no, lets leave it at that.

I feel bad for the kid. Way too much pressure. As a dad of two girls, I would never pressure my daughters that way.  The kid is too young to separate what she wants versus what her parents want.  And her identity, self worth, and her perception of her worth from her parents' pov are dangerously tied to her success in tennis.  Poor kid.

She has been stopped by many 12 year olds, but unstoppable desire to play. The hunt goes on. :)
