his dad and i have talked about it the Muscle imbalance and he is scheduled to see a chiropractor & a Doctor soon about it. when i get that info i will post it.
Brandon does have some physical issues. one of which is the growth rate of parts of his body, in the older video back in February of this year he was suffering from the ball toss, he never mentioned it June. The Left shoulder was hurting and he said that it hurts to ball toss the way i was making him toss. i never knew that because he never spoke about it before & im not a doctor or pretend to be ( hint hint ). so i tell him to show me his shoulder area and one side is more developed than the other. thats when i showed him how to do some weight training. to work on the muscle imbalance.
That's true about Andre, but he's talking about dealing with an injury and altering game and technique to deal with it. Brandon is 14 and doesn't seem to have physical issues. I think it's good to experiment with different service styles, like pinpoint, platform, Roddick style or classic, just looked he went from one extreme to another.
here is the old serve. but i was forcing him to shorten it up here.
its a slow Process. he must learn to change faster. and have back up shots. Reading Agassi's book "OPEN" he mentions in the book about having two different playing styles. one playing style is when his back isn't hurting and a completely different set of strokes and styles of play for when it is hurting!
Yeah, Tim I thought it was Fedesque. But that serve looked nothing like one that was posted about a year ago I think were he was doing abbreviated take back. Just trying to figure out the evolution to this point.
I like the serve where the chalk comes off the ball and lands in his hair. lol
His first batch of serves remind me of the Fed toss motion. His windup stays much lower and just hangs down. When you fixed his balance, it forced his trophy to come up by not letting him hang back on his back leg. Fed never hangs on his back foot and gets his trophy high. Once you got him off his back foot, the trophy position starts up higher, with the shoulder angle less steep.
there is a back view and a side view before the second set
yes Hal, that is his natural serve on the first set before i made him do the exercise. Its hard for him to change because he doesn't have the ability yet to visualize himself in time and space yet. remember he is still a boy and doesn't have the experience yet.
