Would you be interested in playing in Astoria Park since the weather is getting better?

Hey Gretchen, lovely to hear from you. Shame I didn't know you last year - I was living in NJ for about 9 months - would have happily helped out with your tennis development! Hope you managed to get lots of games in before the crap weather kicked in this year!

Hi Gretchen, how's it going?

Just wanted to point you to a couple of fun groups that popped up.
My Racket, What's Yours?? is a place to show off your weapon of choice.
Prince Players, We Got Next set up by Prince, Inc.
Fans of Serena - obvious title, but I'm not joining. ;-)
To see a full list of the "internet-based" or "special interest" Groups that have been created over the last year, click here to check them out.

I looked at the USTA web site... really horrible... I can't find anything about programs/camps/etc. Let me know how to find this online...

That sounds great... can you send the info for that to me?

Hi Gretchen,
I've never been to the park in Astoria, but I work in LIC so I'd definitely be up for playing with you one of these days, especially since it so close.
Nothing too fancy, just some fun hitting practices on the court.

P. I really love your website! Great work!

I am in Greenpoint and would be interested in playing at McCarren or elsewhere in Brooklyn. I have not been playing long, but I am reasonably athletic and approach it seriously enough to have a desire to improve. I certainly would be interested in hitting practice and some drills. Let me know if you would be interested.

Hey Gretchen,

Great website.
I love your artwork, supercool.
I'm from Wisconsin as well.

I'm a bit more than a beginner, but enjoy playing with players of any level. Let me know if you want to rally.

Best,

Andy O

Hi Gretchen! It's great to have you here! This is our *new* generic welcome message that fortunately,is required due to the enormous growth. We're growing by 100 new members a day, and I just couldn't keep up. But that's a good thing. ;-)

Invite your friends too. We’re trying to reach 20,000 members by Wimbledon. :-)
If you need any help, let me know.

You just joined a super fun and infectious "community-based" tennis social network which connects tennis players, fans, coaches, and you.

To get started, please upload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, or your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.

If you are looking to meet people for tennis matches, Look through the Groups or create a Group of your own and invite your tennis contacts. It's a good place to keep in touch with everyone in your circle.

Here’s a primer on how to meet other players.

The Forum is really the hub of the online community. Other places to explore: post youtube videos, add your own photos, write your own blog.… and just hang out and meet great people.

Welcome aboard,
Mark
