dogs are wonderful and any pet does become a family member... still trying to tinker my way through the site.. enjoying everything so far... thankyou for your help...
My husband got me into it relucutantly, and now I love it. I have four boys (19,18,13,5) and one girl (6). They all love to go out to the court with me to play. We have been playing for about 6 mos. now.
Hi Amy! Jonesboro is about 20 min south of Atlanta. I am a Beginner and am enjoying playing and the exercise that comes with it. I have pulled my kids to the court too and have spent some of the best bonding time on the court with them.
The courts are open to the general public. Sometimes different leagues have them reserved, but they post a schedule for that. We do not have any set time. I try to get over there whenever someone can meet! I have only been playing for about one month, but I think I am okay for a beginner. It is so much fun and I love the exercise! If you want, I can let you know when I can go! You can tell me when you are available too!
Hey Amy...I've been playing 2 years but have put 7 years worth in. I play B3 ALTA and 3.5 USTA. We're not far from y'all here near Chateau Elan. Infact, we were just up in Cumming last week and lost in the 2nd round of mixed doubles playoffs. I will check out the ATL Aces!
Hi Amy! Your page rocks - it's crazy in here. :-)
Can you do me a big favor since you are kinda in the Atlanta Area? We have a North Atlanta group and a GATECH group, but we really need a good old fashioned Atlanta Tennis group. Can you start it up? There's tons of atl players here who are without a meeting place.
lemme know,

Here is a good website to tell you how to measure the grip size for you.

Good job on your blog for hitting mindfully last night.
Today was such a beautiful weather - perfect day for tennis, which I got to hit some with my die hard tennis player friend. I, too need to learn to think before swing that racket esp. swinging it low to high and closed.

Hi Amy,
I am excited that you have become a member of the Duluth group. When and how can we meet? Does your husband play too?
Pili Aloha (means close companion in Hawaiian) turns 12 this year. I also have a 6 year old african grey anmed Akili (means intelligent in Swahili). He says, "I can talk - can you fly?'!
I grew up down at the "Jersey Shore" in Long Branch/Tinton Falls area. I lived the last 3 years in Lyndhurst which is right next to Giant Stadium. I miss Jersery...but I don't miss the snow..lol
