Staying Healthy for the Transition from Indoor Winter Tennis to Outdoor Play

As spring welcomes the outdoor season, tennis enthusiasts potentially face unwelcome injuries if they do too much too soon and fail to take proper precautions to transition from indoor to outdoor play. The Beauty of Tennisopolis

This is how Tennisopolis works. Any questions? :-)
Just like a high school dance, the best way to get a partner is by stepping up and saying "Hi".

So What About Copyrighted Content?

Hi everyone. I know that most internet users run willy-nilly copying great photos and pasting them to their favorite websites (Tennisopolis included.) I couldn't imagine how many illegally duplicated photos are on Facebook alone. Not to mention all the illegal vids on YouTube. Nonetheless, it is not allowed. Unless you have been given permission by the author of a photo (some people call them photographers, but in the world of copyright law "author"… Continue

Enough Members To Fill Arthur Ashe Stadium!?!?

Looks like we'll need to be changing out the first image on the Main page. Gasquet's Coke Problem Due to French Kissing!

In yet another ''only in Miami'' story, French tennis player Richard Gasquet had his two-year drug ban lifted Wednesday after only two months because an international tribunal ruled that he had inadvertently ingested cocaine while kissing a woman he didn't know at South Beach nightclub SET during the Sony Ericsson Open in late March.

Gasquet, ranked No. 23, had withdrawn from the tournament with a shoulder injury on March 28, partied at… Continue

Phoenix Tennis Ball Plant Returning to the Ashes

Head, the Amsterdam sports-equipment producer that creates the Penn ball brand, said it would close its tennis-ball plant in Phoenix on March 5. In January 2007, Head began producing tennis balls in China and since then has increased output there. It's now closing the U.S. plant and will produce all its tennis balls from China. A statement from the company on Wednesday didn't specify how many employees are affected by the move or how much the closing would cost.

I'm actually shocked… Continue

Sock It To Me, Baby

protrainer winsock tennis training gear

I'm not normally one for tennis gadgets and "get great quick" schemes, so I'm always a bit skeptical of any tennis gear that Jack Kramer himself wouldn't use. You can call me a traditionalist. So, when the guys at ProTrainer Tennis asked me to demo their new… Continue
