ROGER FEDERER IN MADRID: PLAYING MIND GAMES WITH RAFAEL NADAL

Roger Federer spoke to the press in Madrid on Sunday and was brimming with optimism about his chances at the Madrid Open and for the rest of the season. Roger said that he knows he can beat Nadal on clay, despite the head-to-head, and that his main goals for the year are winning Roland Garros and Wimbledon. He also mentioned that he isn’t actively searching for a new coach, but is always “open” for solid advice on ways to improve his… Continue

ROGER FEDERER TRAINS FOR MADRID IN ZURICH

Jet setter Roger Federer has been spotted in yet another “top secret” training ground - this time a clay court facility on the outskirts of Zurich, with a lovely view of Lake Zurich*.

Blick reports that he is training with his under-the-radar coach, Severin Luthi, and a sparring partner named Roman Valent, who won Junior Wimbledon in 2001 but has left the pro tour due to injury.

The AGONY and ECSTASY of Roger Federer

The future champion's rise is talked as much as is discussed the current champion's downfall. Roger Federer's string of losses to in-form youngsters is the talk of the town. From bursting into tears in Melbourne Park to racquet slamming in Miami, the man is in serious need of a rejuvenation....!

Napoleon Bonaparte once quoted - "My downfall raises me to infinite heights". Perhaps he wanted someone in the modern tennis world to draw inspiration from that thought. And… Continue

Great Scot!

If the enthusiastic Madrileños had had their way, Sunday’s final at the Mutua Madrileña Masters would have pitched the game’s two greats against each other, so that Rafael Nadal could conquer Roger Federer, and bring a repeat of this year’s epic Wimbledon final to Spain’s biggest tournament.

Nadal had started the week by finally receiving the ATP No.1 trophy, the first time the Spaniard has officially acknowledged his achievement since he toppled his erstwhile rival off the top spot… Continue

Belief = Tennis Equilibrium!

All Roger Federer really needs is to start believing in himself. He is the greatest player EVER and nothing is going to change that - not losing at the French, or at the Wimbledon, or second round in Toronto...nothing is going to change that. Absolutely Nothing!

Roger just needs to remember who he is - and I mean that in a positive sort of way. Once he starts believing in himself again, equilibrium will be restored again in the Tennis World!

My 2 Cents!
