Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):: 38 yr old male from South Bay. I think I'm about a 4.0 but that's only my unofficial guess. Never played in high school but played lots in college. I'm pretty fat right now so can't get to every shot that Michael Chang would get to, but I still get around. Left handed server with a bit of a kick that will take you wide on the ad serve. Got a good cross-court forehand and used to have a good forehand down the line but can't seem to find it right now. Hit top-spin or a high shot to my backhand and you're getting a slice return for sure. Decent volley in singles but I'm a chicken when it comes to doubles - can only volley back if I'm not ducking under the net.

On the court, I am a:: slicer, doubles partner, singles player, one-hander, choker, top-spinner, lobber, baseliner, drop-shotter, gracious winner, gracious loser

My favorite local courts:: Next to the skatepark on Pier Ave. in Hermosa. Redondo Union High at Diamond and PCH. Manhatta Beach high school at Prospect and Artesia. Hermosa Beach courts on Valley. Live Oak park on Valley in Manhattan Beach.

from there, you can search each player, who they've played together in every league match for the last ten years or so plus the scores of these matches. Unfortunately, I can't seem to navigate USTA Southern California website to find teams.

Give me a call for evening tennis in Redondo Beach. 415-828-2396. I've got public courts (with lights at night) close to me at Anderson Park (Farrell and Rindge) and Manhattan Heights (Redondo and Manhattan Beach). The Hermosa courts on 11thst and Live Oak are also both pretty accessible to me. I can hit days or evenings. Have a golf date this saturday.
