As someone who owns and wears a cowboy had occasionally, I can tell you that this hat is way too big for him.  Follow the line of his left cheek up to his forehead, then look at the big offset at the crown of the hat.  There is like a 1/2" gap between his head and the inside of the hat!

As a 4th or 5th generation Texan, I can say that he looks believable... except for that curly-q coming out from behind his ear.  Now that is queer, boy.
