Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
I've been out for a while with foot injuries, but I'm really looking forward to playing again. I'd like to meet a few people who would like to drill and/or play a few sets on a weekly basis (one-time meetups are fine too, but I need some motivation for regular play). If you're interested, I'm probably a 3.5 player (4.0 when I was at my peak) but it will take me a couple weeks to get back into it.
I am moving near the Central Square T stop soon, and I work at Kendall, so I'd be happy to play anywhere on the nearby redline.
Two other little tennis dreams, if anyone is interested: First, I'd love to play doubles again. I don't currently have friends who play tennis, so I know this would be a bit trickier, but I miss having a regular doubles partner and practicing doubles strategies. Second, I've never played on clay. If anyone knows where a good clay court is and wants to plan a match or two, I'd be very grateful.
Favorite pro tennis player(s):
I grew up on Agassi. Now I rarely watch.... sad, I know.
My tennis skill (please check your NTRP if you know it):
I'm not sure why, but I can't find your original email. In any case, I'm writing because it's raining really hard right now. We could either postpone or we could try to find indoor courts. Let me know what you think!
Heads up, I'm letting everyone in the Cambridge are know that Jacques just started a Cambridge Tennis Group. Please join there to find and be found. Thx, Mark
