Jimmy Connors, Chris Evert, Martina Navratilova and Billie Jean from the old school. Grew up watching them. Of the current crop, Federer, Nadal, Jokovic, the Williams sisters, Amelie and Sharapova are people I root for.

    We at GLOW TENNIS invite tennis players, adult men and women, tennis playing levels, 2.5-to-5.0, to join us for our fun, mixed-up doubles tennis round robin and social, this Saturday, Feb. 6, at a local Boston Tennis Club (near public transportation; parking on site).

    The spirited tennis will begin at 1 p.m. and finish up at 3 p.m. after which we'll dig into some scrumptious food provided by us at GLOW TENNIS, and engage in lively banter on topics from tennis to whatever's on your minds. We'll also award some neat prizes to deserving players.

    Cost is just $30/player. Where else can you get such a smashing deal like this ... great tennis, yummy eats and lively chatter?

    To register, please forward your name, phone number and tennis skill level by this Thursday, Feb. 4. We'll promptly reply with details, directions and answers to whatever other questions you might have. We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you on court this Saturday!

    Great - early mornings 6:30 - 7:00 start times work for me.  As do week night evenings (although sometimes work gets in the way) and some weekends.  Best to communicate directly through sampflood@earthlink.net.
