Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
I've played tennis throughout most of my life, including club tennis at Stanford and serving as the president of my business school tennis club at Kellogg (Northwestern University). When I'm not on the tennis courts, I also enjoy investing, classical piano, salsa dancing, and eating sushi.
I'm looking to meet NTRP 4.5+ players that can be hitting partners as well as competitive players. I'm always up for singles but would be especially delighted to have a good doubles match.
Favorite pro tennis player(s):
Pete Sampras, Stefan Ederg, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal
My tennis skill (please check your NTRP if you know it):
If you're a 4.5, then you won't like hitting with me that much. I'm a 3.5. I just started playing singles again this summer, so my singles game isn't that great these days. I play mostly doubles and mixed doubles. We can try playing. I'd also like to find a club to maybe take a few drills while I'm in town. I play on 3 competitive teams where I live, so I'd like to make sure that I keep my game up while I'm in Dallas.
I'll be there for work. I have the best job in the world. I love it. I arrive on Sept. 25 until Oct. 19. I'm planning on working, playing tennis and doing some yoga while I'm in town. I can't say too much on this public forum about my job. We can talk when I get to town.
im usually free in the evenings during the week and also sometimes on sat. we should schedule to possibly hit next week or very early this week since I think I may have to go out of town this week. we should swap numbers to talk it out further if you want. im at 972-567-3615
hi eric- i play in a couple of leagues in NYC. One is at Manhattan Plaza (sat and sun) and the other is at Roosevelt Island (mon-thurs). if you are interested in match play, there are lots of 4.0's to 5.0....if you are interested in some match play.

Hi,

Yes. I was rated a 6.0 at one point a few years ago. Played on Div 1 College team but that was many moons ago. More like a 5.0 player today with flashes of my old 6.0 days.
Eric,
I am somewhere between 4.0 and 4.5 and I can play at Cole Park. I will be available to play at 7 or 7:30pm tonight at Cole Park if you are. Please let me know if this sounds good to you. I can be reached at 315-408-6024. If I cannot answer please leave a vmail and I will return your call. Thanks.
Hey Eric,
I've played club tennis since I was 8 and varsity in HS. Played tournaments as a jr. and was a superchamp in USTA (I don't know if you're familiar with the term). Anyways, I recently am coming off a broken leg injury and would love to get back in the game. I don't know exactly what my level is as far as numbers go, but I know that I'm a pretty decent player and can keep a rally going very well. My only problem may be my ability to cover the court as you can imagine. From my best knowledge, I would say I'm about around the 4.5 range and you seem to be right around there so if you're interested please let me know thanks. I'll be sending this to Kyle too since I see he's in that ability level as well. Take care
that sounds great and I live in uptown as well on Knox. I usually play at the smu courts. Here's my email hopefully that will make it a little easier to communicate: 1072done@gmail.com
Hey that sounds good. I would love to hit sometime next week if you are available. Let me know what your schedule is like and we could work something out.
Hey Eric, I hate to bother you but I saw your post about wanting to get involved with teaching lessons to students who otherwise wouldn't have the access to and I was wondering if you could give me a lesson? I'd be willing to pay too especially since it'd be taking some of your time but I could go into this more in-depth through email (cayemc@gmail.com). Either way -- have a good day and enjoy yourself! :)
I'm from El Paso, a bit far from you, but play tourneys in Dallas, Austin, etc. Staying in Midtown East Manhattan [228 E. 58th, btw 2nd and 3rd] Lets see if we can get some play in. Feel free to call me @ 915.875.5005. Mornings are better, but I'm flexible.

Eric,
Sorry we didn't get to play. I stayed an extra day in order to catch the finals. If your ever this way, let me know and I'll do the same.
Best Wishes

hi, i'm visiting Dallas from 11/16-19 and 11/22-25. i'm a 4.5 player and a strong hitter. I'll have a car and so can drive around. if you're interested in hitting, let me know.
Hey Eric - I'm actually at the chicago campus so now that the weather is looking better I'm looking for people to hit at lake shore park or in the city - if you're ever around and want to hit let me know!
I live in Rogers Park - four blocks from Evanston. I played D3 tennis from 96-99 and was probably a 4.5-5.0 then. I'm probably down to a 4.0 but can hit with 4.5s. I need to play nights, weekends or early AM.
Great to hear from you. Thanks for reaching out. I play 2 hours a day, 5 days a week and am very interested in hitting with other pretty good players. I play in Harlem (152nd and 7th - Adam Clayton Powell Blvd.). There are 8 all weather courts and they are never busy. It's easy to get up there via subway or Madison Avenue Limited bus. Give me a call and let's set something up. Mitch 917 721 7021
Hi Eric, thanks for asking. I can play probably once a week during weekdays... It is hard for me to go Harlem because I currently live in Jersey City. It is easy for me to go LES, or central park....
Hey Eric, I think you need a permit to play at LES. It is not that busy during weekdays like before 5 pm. When it is busy like during weekend, we just need to be there one hour or 40 min before to reserve the court. It's located in east river park near Williamsburg bridge.
hey Eric, sounds good. Lets hit, text me at 646-239-8418 so we could arrange some games. I have my car in the city now which is also very convenient to playing anywhere.
I'm back in NYC for the summer may-April. If you're still looking to hit id be up for it. I dont have a new York number just yet, but when I do I can message you and we can set up a time.
