Yes, but usually Mondays are best.  Early afternoon preferred since I have to travel from Union Square.  When are you available?

If you mean Monday, August 29th, that should be good.  Afternoon preferred -- either 2-3 or 3-4pm.

Do you want to book us a court at Prospect Park?  I have to get a tennis pass for that day.  Also, send an email to my real address so we can exchange phone numbers and all in the event of an emergency if we need to reach each other.

I prefer Prospect Park to Fort Greene.  It's worth the $15 for the softer courts and the nets between the courts.

Sounds good.  I'll wait to hear from you.

Sam, between the transportation issues tomorrow and the rain, I don't think tennis is a good idea or maybe even a possibility.  It takes me an hour by subway to reach Prospect Park (2 trains) when there are no problems.  What is your schedule like the remainder of the week?
  • Ellen Sandles

Just received an email from Prospect Park:

Please note that that the Prospect Park Tennis Center will be closed Monday during the day, but may open for evening play. Updated information will be posted at www.prospectpark.org

    Just found your message.

I have plans to play this afternoon already with someone.  Try to reach me earlier next time, if you can.  Thanks for asking.

  • Ellen Sandles

Sam, I made arrangements yesterday afternoon to play on Monday from 2-3 pm but I am supposed to confirm with the person that morning.  If it fall through, I will contact you to play.  If you don't hear from me, assume that I am booked.  Thanks.

Sam, if you want to play this Monday, Sept, 26th, at Prospect Park I can only do so earlier in the day, say 11am-12pm preferred or 12-1pm.  Not later.

Let me know if you are interested.

  • Ellen Sandles

Great, see you at 11am at Prospect Park on Monday.
  • Eric (4.5)

Hey Sam, not sure if you're still playing much on tennisopolis, but if you're interested I'd love to hit. My schedule is pretty flexible these days and I usually hit up at Harlem since the courts are free and there's hardly any wait, if at all. I'm NTRP 4.5, played club tennis at Stanford and am looking to rally or play matches. Thanks. - Eric
