I don't visit /r/tennis but I think I should start. You don't happen to know any groups around New Orleans that actually play do you? The NOLA tennis group is very inactive.

I must admit that I'm a bit shy to get started. I'm 58 and over weight. I played casual tennis when I was younger, but I watch tennis on TV and the Internet whenever possible. I went to my first  pro tournament last year at Indian Wells. Now, I just want to get on a court to start moving and burn some fat off. My goal/fantasy would be to play regularly and perhaps even enter a local seniors tournament.

I haven't introduced myself to the local branch, yet. Like I said, I'm shy. But I intend to do so this week.

have been swamped with my main full-time job as well as another side-projet so no progress yet - but I would like to get together with some fellow tennis fans and discuss what the ideal format and rules for the game would be so I can set out starting to do the database / API design.

Hi Mark, I love Alberquerque. I stpped many times on my trips to Calfforna. I have had to put tennis aside til my vision imporves. I got on here by a link from facebook,as I keep up with most of all the mathces of the USTA WTA and ATP tours.

hey!  Mid-Peninsula meetups? It is not as unified as before, but i know our members are still playing with each other a lot in Redwood City. I do a lot of lunch tennis with a few of them. I don't see a lot of new members joining tho and I wonder if it's because we stopped advertising on craigslist for a while now.
