Thank you for welcoming me to the Venus Williams Fans network. There is no other player on the womens' tour that is more deserving of having a fan site: She acts as a spokeswoman in terms of securing equal prize money and facilities; she is the supreme example of decency, sportsmanship and fairness; she is an entrepreneur and intellectual and she happens to be a supreme athlete.
Despite all this, I cannot think of another player who is as highly disrespected as Venus. She is currently in the top 5 in the world despite playing fewer tournaments than most players, has won more tournaments than any other active player, has won more prize money that most players all-time, still holds the world's record for fastest serve among females (129 mph) and is almost 30 years old but shows no signs of stopping any time soon.
However, she is criticized because she does not conform to a European standard of beauty, because she has not been Number 1 in a long time, because she does not exemplify perfection on the court (who does?) and because, quite frankly, she is black and in a sport that has always been dominated by white players.
Venus and Serena have changed women's tennis to a fast-paced, powerful game for athletes and to them, with Venus having taken the lead, we tennis fans owe a great debt to her.
Hi Jae, im looking for an hitting partner to stay sharp in the sport. if you are still looking to add partners from around Houston, just leave me a message here are you can send me a text at 713-517-1176.
I've been good. Getting back playing a couple of times a week. I've found that my game has regressed quite a bit and it's taking a lot more to get a lot of things back. I have rallied with Dave a couple of times since then but he's hard to catch. I will be joining USTA soon so I might see you in a tournament or two.
I may not be able to play you in the tourneys when you do but good luck to you when you get there. I'll probably try 3.5 first and see how I do and work my way up. I've seen Troy play and I'm quite surprised he hasn't been moved up yet.
