Tim, you must snap some pics of you in the MM gear and post it to that thread in the Forum.  (I'll do the same - Mike is sending me a Midnight Crash!)

Hey tim, check out my video of Lendl training for the exhibition next month!
  • Rick Ebel

Thank you Tim. I would like to talk to someone that might point me in the best direction for the correct racquet type for me. I had not played in almost 26 years before 5 months ago. I quit tennis after first year of college and commited totally to racquetball which i actually played semit pro for almost 10 years before having knee surgery. I love playing tennis now and play three times a week usually. I currently use a wilson ncode six.one 95 10pts headlight which I like but I think it might b a little heavy for me. Any help is appreciated.
  • Rene Martinez

thank you for your compliments. Yes I would open to set up a day we can play as well.
  • Rick Ebel

I have not tried many other racquest and the wilson seems to have a good feel , but as you said the weight can hurt my shoulder after a few sets of serving. I lke the headlight feel and have been told i have very quick hands. The blx I agree sounds like a good fit but I'm not sure i can afford to but the newest one at the moment. I would like to try a racquet thats 10.6 - 11.4 but as you said it depends on my type of play or swing. I'm not sure what type of swing I have but i do know that with the ncode racquet i currentlt have i cannot swing full speed and keep it in the court.
  • Rick Ebel

Wow, You posses alot of knowledge about racquets , strings etc. So I should stay away from from any racquets weighing lower than 11.0 oz? I think my problem is I play three times a week but its all on a drop in dbls type of format so I dont get a chance to go out and work on stroke or consistancy as I would like for then I could try some demos more often. I thank you for taking the time to help me find a good racquet for me. I'm getting pretty decent with the ncode but I feel I could get better faster with something beter suited for me.
  • Rick Ebel

Now that makes sense using a lighter racquet for dbls. I would love to try a blx if I can find a decent one thats not to pricey. I curently have three racquets the ncode six.one 95.  Another ncode ntour2 .  and a dunlop revelation mid plus.  Three completely different racquets. lol

Thank you Tim for your outreach and your comments.  I am looking forward to meeting some of the members and finding some hitting partners.  I am not computer savvy, so it will take me a while to really get connected to things.  Thanks and Take Care!

Thanks,Tim! I'll check out everything on this website.
  • Anatoly Antipin

Yes, I am. Thanks, Tim for your comments on my article.

How hard do you grip the handle during pronation phase of the serve?

  • Anatoly Antipin

I found very interesting article, by Prof. Rod Cross.
He stated, “Why do players stretch the fingers of their free hand? Don’t askme, I don’t know. My guess is that when players tense their muscles to hit ashot, they tense all their muscles, not just the ones they need to tense (about95% of them)”.

Right now, I’m not so sure about relaxed arm and wrist inparticularly during the serve and any tennis stroke! Maybe we should grip handle much harder than we do. What do you think about that?

  • Lendl Jr. (4.5)

I think Bosworth originally started off as Fox.  they probably bought the molds
  • Anatoly Antipin

    Federer does the same.

  • Eli Zhang

    Hi Tim,

Thanks for the note. Can you help me by giving me some instruction on how to use the site to start to find 4.0 singles players interested in a match?

not so good, lost in the semi's to efrain morales, the number 7 ranked guy in the 5.5 .s last year..I could have beat him but have lingering injuries...almost healed....

possibly a 90 min hit Friday or maybe a sat morning warm up, at the venue or local, but i have to wait for the draw to see times and place.....

    Lendl jr.

  • John Spoerl

Tim- do you play any usta tournaments or leagues?
  • CoachV - William Vazquez

Hey Tim. I will make a instructional Video about it later... just for you. What is your level of play & what do you want to accomplish with top spin?
  • M.G.

Tim, so now you know where my home court is...hahaha... watching the two of you play last nite was great...ripping the fuzz off the ball.. i really like you backhand! on the rise!
  • Lendl Jr. (4.5)

Hey tim, i'm leaning towards the Radical pro at this point. i do like the crisp shots from the Prestige Pro.  The babolat is nice and solid at the net and the prince graphite is terrible!
  • Lauren Adolph

Thank you for the recommendation.  I appreciate it. It'd be great to hit casually soon.
  • Lendl Jr. (4.5)

Yeah, it was kind of boingy.  I felt like I was hitting with my old Prince classic or Pro from the 1980's.  I did get some good power.   I havent decided for sure what I might get.  I love my lendl racquet but when i get to the net, it is too unstable and I lose too many points.  With the babolat racquet, i would put away those easy volleys
  • Mark T.

I only wish.  I am more of the Edberg type, however, I do like to grind and out think my opponents, so in that way I feel like I am Nadal type.  ; )
  • Mark T.

Rock on dude. Nadal like mentally, Edberg like stylewise.
  • Mark T.

Edberg with Nadals forehand would have been absolutely impressive.  He would have won so many more Slams.  The forehand was his biggest weakness.  He was still fun to watch.  Just so smooth and dang quick.
  • Bart Wallace

    Hey Tim,

Do you want to hit some on friday? ...

let me know if you are in the area and can hit...

  • Bart Wallace

ok next week if your finished,

    lemme know..

  • Tennis Coach Abs

When these rains finish, it'd be great to grab that hit !:)

  • Tennis Coach Abs

    Lol. Tough luck.Sounds good..
  • Brian Bailey

How I wish...Not even in my dreams do I play like Edberg  :)
  • Chasey Crawfish

Cool I have been dying to play but don't know anyone that can hit a ball :/

  • Lendl Jr. (4.5)

Hey tim, the matches in NYc were cool.  Mcenroe was playing really well but retired with a 6-3 lead over lendl. they were playing an 8 game pro set.  Lendl looked a bit nervous and couldnt hit his forehand in the court.   Sampras just dominated !  I think he is playing with a babolat now!   the racquet didnt have the pws notches on it.
  • M.G.

dood.. it appears we are following each other around so cal.....how did the doubles match go on friday?

  • Mark T.

    Dude, congrats on being featured.
  • Mark T.

Tim, at one point when I was a lot more serious about my game, my coach tried to pattern my game exactly after his.  Edberg was my total idol.  I loved the "bad boyness" of McEnroe, and the flash of Agassi, but I "was" Edberg.  Nobody like him on tour now.  Too bad.  So I follow the beast now.  Have a great day my friend.
