Hey arent you in all those videos I've been watching?
  • Lendl Jr. (4.5)

Cool, he looks like a good instructor. I learned the old school tennis but a lot of people like the way I hit! I liked the video with the back to the future stuff. Very funny. I still think the old school way forces you to step into the shots more. That open stance stuff should be taught once you master the fundamentals.........

Glad you are enjoying tennis. Its a sport I really love!

Thanks for the gift Danielle! Yeah, the balls dont bounce at all in the cold. Dont leave them in your car as they will be dead. Its 9 degrees here in chicago today. I joined an indoor club and I am playing in a lunch league today. I played a 5.0 player yesterday and he won two sets and I won 1.

Thank you for accepting my Friend request. You are awesome.
  • Mark T.

Are you the one in the videos? And you just started and already played in a tournament in November? How did you do?
  • Peter Freeman

thanks for the ball danielle...next gift send me heat!!!
  • Mark T.

I totally get that. My senior year of High School, I led my small town tennis team to the state tournament. It was the first time they had qualified ever, and it was my first and last year at that High School. (we moved there during the summer). Anyway, the pressure was so immense that after I had a 5-2 lead in the first set, the whole thing just caught up with me and I didn't win another game. I was humiliated. Fortunately or Unfortunately, the guy that beat me, lost the next match to the state champ in straights, 6-0, 6-0.

    that is very sweet

Hey Danielle, I was off from work today and I played indoors in the morning and this evening!  I am playing in the morning indoors but these courts are like playing in a "bubble"!

At least it is heated!  wish i was in the bahamas hanging with peter.  He will have a good tan!

  • Lendl Jr. (4.5)

    Merry Christmas!
  • Lendl Jr. (4.5)

I got a case of Slazenger Championship tennis balls!   :)
  • Takaya T

Do you play singles or doubles? Or maybe both?
  • Takaya T

    In those leagues, I meant.
  • Takaya T

I do not play in leagues (maybe I should drag myself to do it), but I play singles most of the time. I enjoy doubles for fun, too. It's just a matter of how many people are available at a time I can/want to play. Hope you are doing well so far this year :)

Hey congrats on signing up for a tournament.  Just take deep breaths, don't force anything.  While warming up however, hit some a little harder to help loosen yourself up.  Most importantly think.  You'll do good.
  • Mark T.

So when is it?  What level will you be playing.  And, I am just trying to help a fellow tennis enthusiast play her best.
  • Mark T.

Make sure and let us know how you do.

  • Tennis Coach Abs

    Best of Luck Danielle !
  • Mark T.

    Way to go!!! Awesome.  Congrats.
  • Mark T.

So what's new?  Any more tournaments?  Lessons?  You have been very quiet as of late?  How is Georgia?  I have been to Atlanta once for a job interview.  I thought it was a very beautiful city.
  • Mark T.

Things are incredibly busy at work, so not getting to the courts as much as I would like.  But, I too am trying to refine my serve.  It hasn't quite been the same after Shoulder surgery 4 years ago.  Keep trying different methods.  Anyway, I wish there were more leagues and what not here, especially flex leagues.  I loved playing those in Texas.  Good job on hanging with the higher ratees.  That will go along way to helping your confidence too.  Good job.  Keep playing.  So when is the next Tourny?
  • Takaya T

Who is your favorite in the tournament? Are you going to play some matches yourself down there, too?
  • Mark T.

So how did you like the tournament atmosphere?  Who did you watch.  Incredible to see the speed of the game at that level isn't it?  I hope you had a great time.
