Of course there are men. You are welcome to come tonight.
  • Tom V

I'm always open to hitting. Are you going to bring a Jack Kramer Staff or a Donnay Borg? LOL

I'm like playing in the morning or after 6:30. I usually play at Cedar Park or Vista Ridge High School.
  • Perry H

I think I had a Wilson Kramer back in the day!! lol. And I know I had a Stan Smith too!

Now I have a new nCode N4, feels like cheating the head is so huge compared to the old wooden racquets I started on!
  • 3L

last night, 5 men attended and then it was just me and one other gal pal - I am planning to set up another tennis event next week - see my page for an update...
  • Tom V

How about 9 am on Sunday and Cedar Park High School. Hopefully the courts won't be too full.
  • Marian

that sounds fantastic. im up for it :)

Hi Perry! It's great to have you here! I love it when people jump right in and start mixing it up.

This is our *new* generic welcome message that, fortunately, is required due to the enormous growth. We're growing by 100 new members a day, and we just couldn't keep up. But that's a good thing. ;-)

    Invite your friends too. :-)
If you need any help, let me know.

You just joined a super fun and infectious "community-based" tennis social network which connects tennis players, fans, coaches, and you.

To get started, please upload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, or your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.

If you are looking to meet people for tennis matches, Look through the Groups or create a Group of your own and invite your tennis contacts. It's a good place to keep in touch with everyone in your circle.

Here’s a primer on how to meet other players.

The Forum is really the hub of the online community. Other places to explore: post youtube videos, add your own photos, write your own blog.

…and just hang out and meet great people.

    Welcome aboard,
    Mark

PS, sign up on Meetin.org! It's a fun group!
  • Perry H

Woohoo, I added the Tennis Channel to my cable package, and got VS network (Tour de France!) and Speed channel among others for just $3 more a month. Worth it for the tennis alone!
  • Svetlana

Thanks for that Sharapova-Federer video, it's great!!
  • Geoff Miller

    Still free to play tonight?
  • Geoff Miller

I look forward to hitting some balls with you on Saturday
  • Geoff Miller

HiPerry, I had a great time and got some really useful tips -mainly to do with keeping my wrist up. You still ok to play Monday evening?
  • 3L

Would you bring your camera on Tuesday? I will bring mine, too, but I'd like some "action" shots of me! hehe
  • Geoff Miller

How about 8pm tonight? I am happy to travel to couurts near you, otherwise play at Hunters Chase?
  • Geoff Miller

Good to hit last night, phew that was hot!
Keep working on that serve :o)
  • 3L

Sorry, Perry. I won't be at tennis tonight, but take it easy on Rosemary! hehe. See you at Monday's event next week?
  • Perry H

Looks like I'm down until further notice. Not only did I pull a muscle in the right groin area, I pulled a calf too. Now it's healing time! I knew i should have rested after playing last night! Live and learn I guess.....
  • 3L

OUCHIE! RM said she thought you pulled something! Try loosening up with stretches...
  • TennisPlaza.com

I've had a 3rd degree high ankle sprain before from a bad landing on a running overhead. Stay off of it and let it heal. Tennis can wait.
  • Perry H

I agree. A day's sleep sure helped, both legs feel better but I'm going to give them through the weekend at least....maybe a slow short bike ride on Monday to see how the calf is loosening up..
  • Sarah Blaine

thanks for the info about monday night. see ya then.
  • 3L

Perry, I hope you are completely healed. Don't watcha to hurt yourself! Of course, if you play me and Rosemary, you are likely not going to have to hurl yourself toward the ball to hit it...or will you? muahahaha
  • Sarah Blaine

    Perry,
Sorry to miss tonight. I took two classes at the gym this afternoon and that wiped me out. I'll be in Houston next Monday but the one after, I'll appear. See ya.
  • 3L

Hi, Perry - you seemed to do well out of the court this evening! Glad a little injury couldn't hold you down. I'm totally up for some coaching! Lord knows I need it. I'll mention it to everyone else and take a poll! =) You Rock!
  • 3L

PS, you are only allowed to post gorgeous photos of me only (which probably means I won't be seeing any!).
  • Sarah Blaine

oh thanks for letting me know it's usually tuesday. i'll be back by then next week. i'll check the court times first.
  • Gary Pluta

Howdy! I'm looking for players in your rating range to casually hit and play matches with. If you have any free time, I would love to hit with you!
  • Perry H

Gary, I'm taking it easy, just hitting around some on Tues nights with the group that meets at Westlake, I pulled a groin last week and the bruising is really something else....going to the Doc today to have it checked out. Once I'm back to full speed I'd love to play some singles...
  • 3L

Thanks. Perry. My knee wasn't too bad, just felt like a little knee cap problem, but I feel okay this morning. I really appreciated your tips; I caught myself practicing what I learned and so many shots actually went where I wanted them to! Yay!
  • 3L

I was thinking last night, that sometime we should all get together to eat dinner sometime, either after play or on another date. Your thoughts?
  • tim dunvan

saw your post this morning Perry. Unfortunately I work Friday thru Monday right now all day :( can play Tu thru Th though. shoot me an email if you have the time to hit on those days - also do you know a good stringer in NW Austin?
  • 3L

Sorry I got sick 3 weeks in a row! Hope you had fun anyway!

Moved tennis to next Thursday. =) Have fun last night? Matt said he and Eric were going.
  • 3L

Is it coincidence that only small-boobied girls play tennis? =)
  • 3L

Am I losing you to your bicycle thingy tomorrow? (I might get to bring home my motorcycle Thursday night).
  • 3L

Last night was tons of fun - wish I could have stayed and played longer! Loved how many folks came out! How do you feel about playing on Mondays after August?
  • 3L

WOOT! HOT ROD! (Now I'm going to forget your real name!)
  • 3L

Oh No! What happened to our Perry? =(
  • 3L

Aww, well, you were missed, but better to take care of yourself than to risk injury or further illness. I was worried.
  • Mark / The Mayor

    Hi Perry!

The US Open is already here, so NOW is the time to come make your picks in the US Open Bracket Challenge sponsored by Avery Tennis.

    Little known facts:
    1. It's free.
    2. It's fun.
    3. The Grand Prize is a new Avery M3 Control racquet.
    4. Do I need any more reasons?
    5. It's more fun to follow the tourney when you have points at stake.
    6. Bragging rights.
    7. OK, I'm all out...

Come fill in your bracket, more info here.
  • 3L

    tennis this Thursday? 6:30?
  • 3L

I think Matt headed to the courts last night - you might wanna try to reach him - let me know if you want his phone # or email...
  • Matt

I asked Rob, the admin for the tennis MeetUp group, to post the Tuesday & Thursday Westlake event over there as well--it might be an easier way for more folks to see who will be there.
  • 3L

Are you ready for some tennis? Let's revive the group in South Austin!
