There's a great not-well-known, LIT, court here in Bayview right next to my house (Youngblood Coleman Park). Not the greatest area but really not that bad....
I understand what you mean, it is always hard to find tennis partners. I was always on craigslist before I found out about this site. But one thing that I learned from experience is that we have to sometimes sacrifice a little. Because we always want to play around where we live and where we work, then when we want to and also with players that have similar skills. If we combined all these things that we are looking for, it is extremely hard to find tennis buddies.
haha...but going back to this site. I think the best bet is to look up people's profile, and also post comments in your group or start a discussion. I never did anything with the Bay Area Baseliners but I am in the Mid-Peninsula Group and I think so far we are doing a great job on keeping up with events.
We usually have 2 events per week, one on thursday (after work) and one on Saturday morning. The one on thursday is not very popular right now, especially it's winter cuz it gets dark early and it's not easy to find lit courts. But I think you should still join our group since you work in San Mateo and our thursday event is in Burlingame in winter and San Mateo in summer. So after work should be the best for you.
All the events in Tennisopolis are in this page, Court Time, which is the Court Time Tab.
Oh also please come to our Tennis/BBQ event coming up on the 17th, we only do this once in several months, it's really awesome, the people in our group are super friendly and fun, the grill is right in front of the tennis courts. haha.
oh also which week nights are best for you? since I live in San Mateo, maybe we could meet up and play too or I can also take it into consideration when setting up our group events. let me know. =) chris
arrrrr....I am so jealous!!! Have fun @ the inauguration!!!!! =)
We actually have an inauguration potluck party @work that we are going to watch it in our conference room, how exciting.
Sure let's keep in touch and we will play when u come back.
cheers, chris ;)
Hi! It's great to have you here! This is our *new* generic welcome message that, fortunately, is required due to the enormous growth. We're growing by 50 new members a day, and we just couldn't keep up. But that's a good thing. ;-)
You just joined a super fun and infectious "community-based" tennis social network which connects tennis players, fans, coaches, and you.
To get started, pleaseupload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, or your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.
Arrr...hey Kendra, ok, I think maybe 630pm center court in San Mateo?
Also, as soon as I clicked "accept" on your friend's request, your email address is gone before I can copy it. hahaha. Check your inbox, I will leave my email address so you can write me there. sorry about that. Chris =)
Evenings are sometimes hard for me, I do prefer early mornings, or weekends.
We could meet in the city on the weekends if you like, or early mornings in san mateo
hello! i was actually leaving a message for Doreen and saw your note about moving to the mission - which is where i live :) let me know if you'd be up for meeting up for a rally! i live just a few blocks away from the dolores park courts...
Hi Kendra,
weather looks beautiful this weekend and am looking for someone to rally with. Are you around this weekend? I live closest to the dolores park courts, but am willing to try anywhere else too :)
Chris

If you are looking to meet people for tennis matches, Look through the Groups or create a Group of your own and invite your tennis contacts. It's a good place to keep in touch with everyone in your circle.
Here’s a primer on how to meet other players.
The Forum is really the hub of the online community. Other places to explore: post youtube videos, add your own photos, write your own blog.
…and just hang out and meet great people.
Welcome aboard,
