Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
Played for a solid portion of my life but never committed to year-round play. When I'm not coaching lacrosse or boxing, tennis is in season. This time of year I like to get out to improve my game and stay in shape so I'm up for hitting just about any time.
Favorite pro tennis player(s):
Roger Federer, Andy Murray, Justine Henin
My tennis skill (please check your NTRP if you know it):
NTRP 4.5, NTRP 5.0, Not bad., If tennis is on TV - I'm watching.
To get started, pleaseupload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, or your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.
Thanks to everyone inviting their friends, we now have over 16,500 members and we're growing by 80 new members a day. Invite yours too!
We are about 45 minutes away from you but we play 3 days a week like clockwork, except for days like today and this past Saturday.
If you could make it out even once a week we pretty much guarantee you some really competitive tennis. All the guys are 4.0 and the competition is good. We also have a lot of laughs.
We play in Richardson so you would use 75 north and exit at Arapaho; but here are my generic directions.
Monday and Thursday we are at Woodland Park in Richardson. West Shore is the street that is south of Campbell if you exit UTD's main driveway; it is the 1st traffic light west of Floyd and the 1st traffic light east of Waterview. Woodland Way is closer to Arapaho than it is Campbell; the tennis courts are 1 block west of West Shore on Woodland Way.
From Arapaho, go north on West Shore, meaning Burger King is on your left, and turn left on Woodland Way, which is approximately the 4th corner; there is an elementary school on the left side of the street. Or, 1 block west of Burger King is Woodland Way; going north on it will bring you right to the park.
Saturday's we play at 11am at J.J. Pearce H.S. which is on Coit at the first traffic light south of Campbell.
So, if you are not getting any playtime in Coppell surely playing tennis is worth driving a few extra minutes. Right?
Have a safe trip, and we are looking forward to you coming out and getting back into the swing of things. Like I said before, we are one of the most dependable groups you will probably find.
Kyle, things have heated up a bit; a 5.0 guy is playing 2 days a week and people are rising to the occassion. It is very good to hear from you and we all we be very pleased when you are back on the scene.
My name is Steve, moved to Farmer's Branch about 3 months ago and am looking for people to hit/play with... I'm about a 4.0, I played club tennis in college, haven't been able to play too much recently and am looking for people to play on weekday evenings (I have free access to nearby lighted courts) and/or weekend afternoons.
