Hi Erin! It's great to have you here! You and I are kindred spirits - I feel the same way about tennis. I consider it an addiction, that's why I started this website.

We need a Knoxville Tennis page, click that link to start it.

Can you do me a HUGE favor and Invite everyone you can think of that would like Tennisopolis? I'm trying to reach 20,000 members by Wimbledon.
If you need any help, let me know.

We are all very excited to have created this "community-based" tennis website which puts the focus on the members.

To get started, please upload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.

If you are looking to meet people for tennis matches, Join the group in your area and introduce yourself in there. Some groups have regular meeting times and some are more one-on-one and flexible. If there’s no group in your area yet, start a group page for your town and invite your tennis contacts. It's a good place to keep in touch with everyone in your circle.

Tennisopolis is also a great place to network with people all across the country and talk about this game we love.

Other places to explore: come talk tennis in the forum, add your own photos, post your own blog entries.

…and just hang out and meet great people.

    Welcome aboard,
    Mark

Hi Erin, Do the Miami Tournament Pick-em contest. We need about 8 more entrants to qualify in the battle-of-the-boards. It makes following the tournament more fun. Gotta sign up by late tonight. :-)

    hi Erin...thanks for adding me.
i too love tennis...but you are almost pro!!...from what i could gather from your profile! ;)
well..though i loved tennis as a kid,(i absolutely luv steffi graf ;)) i basically got to hold a tennis racquet for the first time just two years ago!...that b'coz i used to be in Kuwait and India and barely anyone play tennis there..
i think, i play pretty ok for a beginner...are there public courts in Knoxville, where ppl would come to play...none of my friends here play tennis ;)

    Hey Erin,
I grew up in Lowell, IN. A small town a little south of Gary. Went to college at IU in Bloomington. I usually play at the Tyson courts located where Cumberland turns into Kingston. They're really nice courts but they charge five bucks to play there. I realize that isn't much but it really bugs me that a public court would charge the public to play on a court built and maintained with public tax money. You know of any good places to play? I've only been in Knoxville for two months.

Hi Erin..i guess the climate is going to be breezy and warm for a while...perfect for tennis, i agree..though showers may play spoilsport one in a while..
i would love to play.. though you being a 'tournament goer' scares me a bit ;) ...but dint u mention there arent any public courts or suitable places in knoxville?
  • Sinoi Daniel

My apartment's tennis court seems empty most of the time...there isnt a reservation process though!
btw the city of knoxville website boasts of 83 public courts ;) check the link:
    http://www.ci.knoxville.tn.us/recreation/tennis.asp
(sorry, i dont know how to make the link clickable in this site)
arent any of these courts actually free for public use?
$5 adds up to quite a bit if you play regularly!
;) i personally, dont mind paying it once in a while, though

I came out here for the weather mostly. And to be closer to my family. If you wanna play sometime give me a call (865) 228 7066. I'm still unemployed and have plenty of time for tennis.
  • Jeet

I am looking someone to play tennis with me, please let me know if you have time. I can play anytime in the evening after 5:30pm

I am a beginner. I play for fun.

    Thanks
