    Hi Daphane!

It's great to have you here! We need a Brooklyn Group -start 'er up. :-) M

    --------------
We are all very excited to have created this "community-based" tennis social network which puts the focus on the members.

To get started, please upload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.

If you are looking to meet people for tennis matches, Look through the Groups or create a Group of your own and invite your tennis contacts. It's a good place to keep in touch with everyone in your circle.

Tennisopolis is also a great place to network with people all across the country and talk about this game we love.

    Other places to explore:
    - come talk tennis in the forum
    - add your own photos
    - post your own blog entries.

…and just hang out and meet great people.

    Welcome aboard,
    Mark

There are courts at Rockaway and Buffalo.
You seem to be my level.
I am available early Saturday morning.

have u started playing I live in crown heights too, there are quite a few courts available within a 5 mile radius.
  • Knibbo

Hi Daphne there is one court that's free, right by the 3. You get off at Rutland and Sutter and one back about a block. You can view the court while on the train.
  • Knibbo

correction: walk one block back to the courts. The name of the court is Lincoln court.
  • Daphane

would you want to play there?
  • Sarah

    Hi Daphane,
I just joined, looking for new tennis partners, and saw that we might be around the same level.
Get in touch if you'd like to play. My schedule is super flexible but I'd rather not play in the heat of the afternoon (or the heat of a heat wave!)

    Hi Daphane,
Let me know when and where you'd like to play. I live close to Prospect Park in Flatbush, so those courts are easiest for me (and they're really nice--the mesh curtains between the courts are very helpful!), but I can bike to another court if you have somewhere else you like.
Let me know anytime--next week I start a pt job tues-thurs, but I'll still be free in the evenings on those days.

I think they are less busy on weekdays during business hours. I can play between 9 and noon, and we wouldn't need a reservation. I think any other time there we'd need reservations and that costs an extra 7$ (I'd rather play somewhere else than pay extra). We do both have to present our permits though---they're very strict about that.

I'm free tomorrow (Fri) morning. Are you? If not, how about next Tues, THur, or Fri in the mornign?
  • Daphane

I don't have a permit. Where would I get that. I wish I didn't have a day job, but I do for now...I might have a hard time with the AM weekdays. Are you avail on weekends early? I think we can work something out.
  • Knibbo

    Hi Daphnane,
I am sorry I missed your message. I guess I was engrossed in enjoying the French open. I would play with you on the free courts. I am open mornings all week except Sundays, Sundays would be in the afternoon and fridays are a little more flexible. I dont work on fridays. So let me know.
  • Knibbo

Hi I don't think the lightening is very good at Rutland, I can play Fridays and Sunday evenings. The weather is certainly great to play though.
  • Knibbo

Hi, The weather is fine, did the weather say intermittent thunder storms?. But, next Sunday is fine, is 5pm ok? Have a good day.
  • Elisabeth

Absolutely - what days/times are good for you? I could hit tomorrow (Tuesday), Thurday or Friday this week......my work schedule is flexible, so anytime after 10 AM is good for me!
  • Knibbo

Hi Daph, See you on Sunday then. I am looking forward to the start of Wimbledon Yeah!
  • Knibbo

Hi, i am so sorry to hear... I guess you might be out for more than a week. So speedy recovery I'll be on the sidelines, waiting.
  • Christopher

Hey, does the friend message feature work or only the comment wall? I tried to send a message, but I am not 100% sure it is even working....
  • Christopher

No, I did not get the reply... I was wondering why no one was writing back..... did you just send it? Have you replied before?
  • Christopher

I am sorry to hear that and hope you get to feeling better. I filed a bug so they maybe can fix the messaging as well.

Hope to see you soon when your ankle gets better.

    Take care....
  • Knibbo
