Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
I love outdoor sports and would love to join a group where I can play tennis with. I learned tennis quite long time ago, but never really spent enough time on it. I'm going to take lessons and would love to pracitice with friends. :-)
My tennis skill (please check your NTRP if you know it):
I'm getting there., Don't know my what my rating is.
Hi Diana! It's great to have you here!
I see you already joined a Group – fantastic - introduce yourself in there to meet people for matches.
Please Invite your buddies. We’re trying to reach 20,000 members by Wimbledon. :-)
If you need any help, let me know.

Welcome to the fun and infectious "community-based" tennis website which connects players, fans, coaches and pros.
To get started, pleaseupload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.
If you are looking to meet people for tennis matches, Join the group in your area and introduce yourself in there. Some groups have regular meeting times and some are more one-on-one and flexible. If there’s no group in your area yet, start a group page for your town and invite your tennis contacts. It's a good place to keep in touch with everyone in your circle.
Tennisopolis is also a great place to network with people all across the country and talk about this game we love.
Other places to explore: come talk tennis in the forum, add your own photos, post your own blog entries.
Diana, Thank you so much for inviting your friends. I apreciate it! If you can think of anyone else, anyone else at all, please spread the word. We have over 3500 members now I can remember when we had just a couple hundred - actually I can remember when we just had one.
:-)
thanks again,
Mark
Hi Diana, thank you leaving me a message. How about this Saturday afternoon? The places I usually play tennis are Edgewater Park and the Leo J. Ryan Memorial Park all in Foster City. I don't mind to go to your place.
Hi Diana, how are you? Thanks for the response. Yes, I can meet you in your area or somewhere between your and my areas. When can you play? Here's my email address: akma0620@yahoo.com.
It works for me. let's say to meet at Leo J Ryan Memorial Park @Foster City at 3:00pm. If you want to direction, please email me mail4ning@gmail.com. I can post the google map in my reply, as well as the phone number. See you tomorrow.
Hi Diana, I did not see you at the park Saturday afternoon. Did you have trouble to find the place? It was a nice day, except some wind. My friends and I played till 5:00pm. You are welcome to play with us next Saturday if you want.
Rinconada Park in Palo Alto at noon next Saturday the 19th. Be there with your game face... or maybe just some water and a racket. Heck, bring some beer if you want to. Just show up and have a good time. :)
Canada College this Saturday the 26th at noon. We've got all levels of play, so come on out. Come early or late if you like, but leave a message on the group page so people will know who's going and when. (And, conversely, we'll know who the poopers are. Heh.)
This Saturday, May 10th, we'll be playing and picnicking at Rinconada Park in Palo Alto.
Anyone and everyone is welcome. Bring anything you would like to share. Bring your family, too. There are grills in the park, so charcoal and burgers/hot dogs are definitely doable.
Please comment on the event page here so people will know what others are bringing.
And remember, most of us are new and don't know many others in the group, so feel at ease and feel welcome to join us. Meet some new folks and have a good time. Hope to see you there!
I don't have any time this week (new baby), but we'll be getting together this Sat. at noon at the College of San Mateo. Feel free to come out. We don't usually play a match so it's very low-key. Check out the group page for more info.
The routine plays are on the nights of Tuesday, Thursday, and afternoon of Saturday. Just give me call at (832)659-1552 or email me at mail4ning@gmail.com
This is a bit funny, because a few people asked me to play earlier on Saturdays. Unfortunately I don't any other time on Saturdays, but alot of people show up late and stay much longer than I do. I expect if you organize with someone, you can get them to stick around a few extra hours. We all love to play, after all. Do you work that time every Saturday? We have been getting together at noon for a couple months now. I'll ask the group and see how they feel about playing later next week.
Hello Diana,
Wow, What can I say??? You look like such a sweetheart. I bet you are as nice as you are beautiful. I only wish one thing. That I lived in Cali. instead of Hawaii. Anyhow I hope you find a nice bunch of people to play with. I live in a condo complex and we have a big group that plays every day and it is a lot of fun. Ok take care and look forward to hearing from you.
Well I would rather have you live here instead of me there. Hawaii is really a beautiful place although most Hawaiins don't like American men. It is crazy but hey that is life. It is amazing how much tennis I play here all the time. Have you ever been to Hawaii before? I spent a month in Fresno one winter and had a blast. The weather was nice and warm, sweet. Anyhow thank you for your response and looking forward to getting to know you better. Keep practicing and you never know one day I might make it out there.
Please check out the court time tab. We play every Saturday morning at Canada College plus other times during the week (usually Tues, Thurs) that I post over the preceding weekend. Hope to see you on the court soon.
Hi Diana,
I'm a USPTA certified tennis instructor, if you're interested in taking lessons, just let me know. Canada College or... I'm teaching at a Club...but, my rates are lower outside the Club. Reference: ask Rafael for approval if you're wondering if I'm a good instructor! :) Gary
Hi Diana, I'm looking for another beginner near me to play more regularly after work or on Sunday late afternoons...I live in San Carlos and work in PA, so I like playing at the Paly courts after work...are you by chance looking to play regularly?
Yea that sounds great! I'm mostly free Monday/Tuesday nights after work (around 5:30-6pm) and in a few weeks I'll be free late Sunday afternoons around 3ish. Do any of those times work for you?
Hi, sorry I've been swamped with design work. Do you want to try a lesson from me? It's not just a regular tennis lesson, I have a complete program. Drills, stroke mechanics, work on consistency via drills and games, then play out points or do a mini game. It's a workout, strategy and stroke development in one. Please confirm, time and place. Give me a few options please. Tx, Gary
