Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
NTRP 3.5. Also looking to split cost on some indoor tennis this winter. Aside from tennis I enjoy guitar, piano, yoga, traveling, MMA and generally having a good time. Heroes include Nelson Mandela, Tommy Douglas and Randy Couture because he's an old guy who can kick some ass.
Favorite pro tennis player(s):
Becker, Agassi, Graf and of course McEnroe
My tennis skill (please check your NTRP if you know it):
NTRP 3.5
On the court, I am a:
one-hander, gracious winner, gracious loser
My favorite local courts:
many Vancouver or Burnaby courts ok with me, including indoor.
Hi Jeff
Just arrived in town from Europe. Since I used to play a lot of tennis when I was young(er), I would very much enjoy to get back in the game again. Do not know my rating, but it is probably worse as it used to be in the old days, but hopefully it will come back soon. So, I do not know whether it would be ok to hit some balls once these days, and if you are not too bored then we might go on and maybe look for a court to play during winter?
Let me know what you think!
Cheers, Fabian
Sounds great! I work downtown (Saint Pauls Hospital) and could play basically every evening around 6/7. Suggest Wednesday at 7 if that is ok for you? You name the court, since I do not have any idea about courts in Van...! Great if it works out! Ci vediamo, Fabian.
How's it going? Thanks for the message. Yes let's definitely play some indoors at UBC this winter!
I either sprained or fractured my right pinky this Thanksgiving weekend (football) so I may need a week or two to heal before I can grip a racquet. Meanwhile let's round up as many ppl as we can!
Hi! Welcome to the "community-based" tennis social network which connects tennis players, fans, coaches, and you. We created this place in December and it has been a wild ride ever since - we've gone viral and now we're "almost famous".
To get started, pleaseupload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, or your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.
Thanks to everyone inviting their friends, we now have over 15,000 members and we're growing by 90 new members a day. Invite yours too!
Used to play alot. Played tournaments in my teens, and play and like playing, but not regularly.
That comment about Randy Coutoure was funny. Yes, I like watching him kick butt. Thought about taking up MMA, but over 40, and not fast as I used to be, but can still play.
What's your schedule?
Work 8:30 - 5 p.m. downtown, and free on weekends... generally
Hi Jeff,
I am interested to hook up with you, anyone else who would want to
play tennis near Kitsiliano/UBC area.
I used to play a lot as a kid and in college.
Probably was 4.5-5.0
Now, perhaps 4.0.
I am free on weekends, evenings and some morning.
