Hi! Welcome to the "community-based" tennis social network which connects tennis players, fans, coaches, and you. We created this place in December and it has been a wild ride ever since - we've gone viral and now we're "almost famous".

    What can you do here?
    At Tennisopolis, you can:
    - meet other players. Here's a primer on how to find partners.
    - join a Group. Members have started over 190 Local Groups (and other types of Groups too.) Search for one in your area, or start your own.
    - follow the pros. There are over 500 blog posts on Tennisopolis. Have a good read, or write your own.
    - improve your game. Get tips in the Forum and check out video lessons.
    - post your own Videos or embed your favorites from youtube.
    - add your own Photos.
    - and just hang out and connect with great people.

To get started, please upload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, or your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.

Thanks to everyone inviting their friends, we now have over 10,000 members and we're growing by 100 new members a day. Invite yours too!

If you need any help, let me know.

    Laura,

I am picking up tennis again after a five yr break. I'm rusty but getting better. I live in Harrison so we're really not that far from each other. I also belong to Queen City so maybe we can go there--great clay courts! Let me know if you'd like to play.

Hi Laura: Thanks for the note. This week is a little bad with the holiday weekend and weather forecast. Let's look at next week and I would love to play.
    Thanks.

    Hi Laura,
This weekend could be good. Will you be in town? (holiday--I totally forgot). I will be here.
We could meet at QC if you 're into clay courts, or somewhere else. Do you have any ideas?

Right now, Sat looks good. I can meet early...8 or 9? Does that work? If you aren't used to clay, it might be frustrating since it's so much slower. We can try and if you hate it, we can go to the high school next door to the hard courts. Or, we can just pick some other hard courts. I'm not sure of the guest fee..I'll check into it.

    Hi Laura,

I'm so glad to hear from you again! The website is a bit clunky to navigate. Sorry for the confusion--as it turned out, my family came in from MI that weekend anyway, so it all worked out I guess. But I am sorry that you went to meet me and I was not there! Yes, I would still like to play. Saturdays are usually great, but this Sat we are taking the dogs to the Beach waterpark for doggie day. I did check into the guest fee at the club and it's $5.00 guest fee, plus your share of the court time if we are indoors, (outside courts free so just $5 guest fee for outside). The outdoor courts will be open until approx. Oct 13, then we will have to go inside for the season. Is there an evening this week that would work for you, or do you want to set it up for the Sat the 20th at 8:00? Just let me know.

Want to try Thurs (tomorrow) at 6:00 at the Harrison High School courts? Take I-74 Dry Fork Rd exit, turn left on West Rd. School is on the corner of Dry Fork and West Rd. Courts on the right side past the school.
I am still rusty...I'm not playing much..
