Random things about me (hobbies, occupation, tennis history, favorite band, etc.):
I started playing tennis on my own in 8th grade. I use to play on my parent's gravel driveway hitting the ball up against wooden garage doors. I guess my mom felt sorry for me because she signed me up for lessons on a real tennis court. I also got to go to Culver State summer camp which was such a blast that I wanted to finish my senior year in high school but it was too expensive. So I have had three different coaches and have been in a few tournaments but never enough to get ranked. Well, that was quite awhile ago and now with all the beautiful weather here in Hawaii I am finding my way back onto the court. I was excited to find this site so I can find some wonderful people to share this love of tennis with and get some good exercise as well.
Favorite pro tennis player(s):
I grew up watching Chrissy Evert and Jimmy Connor which gives my age away. I absolutely fell in love with John (Johnny Mac) Maconroe because of his intensity of the game and how he challenged every call from the judges. I know he would get a little out of hand but I truely can understand his love of the sport and how still today he is active in preserving the respect for the game. I love watching Serena Williams. I can learn alot from her. Her level of concentration is out of this world. She is also such a humble player.
My tennis skill (please check your NTRP if you know it):
Don't know my what my rating is., If tennis is on TV - I'm watching.
On the court, I am a:
doubles partner, singles player, serve-n-volleyer, returner, two-hander, one-hander, baseliner, gracious winner
My favorite local courts:
I have only played locally at Rec 1 & 3 in Mililani Town.
Relationship status:
Married

    Do you know any super senior 3.5 doubles players who would like to join a good team? You have to be 60 or over the year you play. I captain the islanders. (Our senior team, Hawaiian slices went to sectionals last year.) We have a lot of good, serious players, but 2 had to forfeit 2ce because of injuries and trips/lack of players--couldn't get 6 from a roster of 12, sad...boo hoo...
