Hi! It's great to have you here! This is my *new* generic welcome message that, fortunately, is required due to the enormous growth. We're growing by 100 new members a day, and I just couldn't keep up. But that's a good thing. ;-)

Invite your friends too. We’re trying to reach 20,000 members by Wimbledon. :-)
If you need any help, let me know.

You just joined a super fun and infectious "community-based" tennis social network which connects tennis players, fans, coaches, and you.

To get started, please upload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, or your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.

If you are looking to meet people for tennis matches, Look through the Groups or create a Group of your own and invite your tennis contacts. It's a good place to keep in touch with everyone in your circle.

Here’s a primer on how to meet other players.

The Forum is really the hub of the online community. Other places to explore: post youtube videos, add your own photos, write your own blog.

…and just hang out and meet great people.

    Welcome aboard,
    Mark

Hey Will. Nice dart technique -- you look like you're in the zone. Yes, they require permits when the season is on, but the attendants sometimes tend to wander and disapear for hours at a time and they can be nice (even permissive!) when there's not a lot of ppl on the courts. It's best to come early but if attendants are there if you show up 20min before the hour you should be able to get a court.

Oh, you can get a permit at Paragon Sports in Union Sq. I bought a season pass for $100 but have been to the McCarren Park courts about 5 times now and its never been checked - its prob better to get the single play passes for $7 and use them as you go.

Also, if you're looking for someone to play with anytime soon in M. Park I'm def looking for people to play with!

Cool sounds good! Mid-day sat or sun next week would work for me. Also evenings during the week.
  • Katie

Yes wed is great! I can usually sneak out of work in time to get to the park at 6:45-7. Want to try for around then?
  • Julieta

    can u do tonight?
  • st0ienkiss

I can do either Roosevelt Island (we'll need to get a pass or permit) or Kissena Park which is pretty close to US Open. There's probably a bunch of other courts in queens ( closer to midtown) like woodside or other that I haven't been to. Where in bklyn are you?
  • st0ienkiss

Yeah we should definitely play, I'm hoing to play this weekend when it's not raining (cross your fingers). From Williamsburg you can catch the Q59 then transfer to Q58 which takes you to Flushing or the B24 to 7 train at 46st.

I can get there tomorrow night by 6:30 pm...I might be 5 minutes late, but I think it will work out.
