Hi! It's great to have you here! This is our *new* generic welcome message that, fortunately, is required due to the enormous growth. We're growing by 100 new members a day, and we just couldn't keep up. But that's a good thing. ;-)
You just joined a super fun and infectious "community-based" tennis social network which connects tennis players, fans, coaches, and you.
To get started, pleaseupload a photo or avatar for yourself (if you haven’t already.) Whether it's of you, your dog, or your racquet it doesn't matter, but it helps people remember you. You can also personalize Your Page with pictures, links, RSS feeds, colors and more here.
hey jen! I am a new rookie at Astoria park aswell. Today was my first class with wilson "the so called-tennis pro". Did u take any classes yet at the park? Also how does someone get rated? If 5.0 is good then I'm a -2.0,lol.
hi! the first lesson was great. he charged me $50 for the hour, afterwards he offerd me a package deal for 30 lessons 3 times a week for 1k which is pretty cheap compared to the club on vernon blvd. we went right to the basics, he seems pretty smart, although 30 lessons may be to many but its a great deal. his cell # is 646-552-9692,p.s he told me that he gave me a discount on the package and to not share my rate with others, so if u do speak with him u didnt hear it from me,lol. If your up for practice games give me a heads up, unless your a pro, haha. cya around.

If you are looking to meet people for tennis matches, Look through the Groups or create a Group of your own and invite your tennis contacts. It's a good place to keep in touch with everyone in your circle.
Here’s a primer on how to meet other players.
The Forum is really the hub of the online community. Other places to explore: post youtube videos, add your own photos, write your own blog.
…and just hang out and meet great people.
Welcome aboard,
