Hi. I'm the Community Manager, aka The Mayor of Tennisopolis. Welcome to the site! Tell your friends about us. Use the "invite" tab at the top.
Oh, about me? I'm a website developer as well as a tennis player and huge fan of the pros. I just got moved up to a 4.5 rating - success at last!
I love to follow the pro game. I get fully obsessed during the Grand Slam events to the point where I want to lock the door and just sit around watching in my jammies.
Please invite your friends to join.
Favorite pro tennis player(s):
McEnroe, hands down. Agassi is second. Oh, you wanna know current faves? I like rooting for Murray, Azarenka, Radwanska, Coco. Other retired faves are Santoro and Spadea. Weird group I know, but hey. I love Federer and Nadal too, how can you not?
My tennis skill (please check your NTRP if you know it):
I have twin French poodles who are going to be 5 years in March. Boy and girl. My life priority and then tennis comes next. Did you get my indoor courts question?
I have looked at the Portland group but I haven't found anyone that lives on the west side, Beaverton/Hillsboro. They're cities on the west end of the Portland metro area. I already play with someone in Portland on the weekends but I'd like to find someone to play with weekdays.
Thanks for the msg. I tried to send you a PM but I'm not sure if it went through. Shoot me an email at will@fuzzyyellowballs.com and we can figure out some time to talk. I look forward to it.
I worked on a commercial for USA network.
and brought my racket with me. What you can't see is all the lights & camera equipment on the other side. I did play some games with the sound guy on the practice courts during our lunch break. 95 degrees out that day!
Mark,
I am a new member #2014 and like what you are doing with this site. Although Vancouver, WA is our home we are here in Surprise, AZ Oct-May. We live at Sun City Grand and have an active senior tennis program. The city of Surprise just opened the Surprise Tennis Center with 25 courts, 17 of them lighted. The Outback Champions Tour will be here for 5 days this coming November which is a big event of us. If somebody in this area is looking for tennis I would suggest them contacting the center where they have a number of programs for young players. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for getting back to me! It is there when I go to the page that says, "view as others see it." No biggie, I was just wondering how to delete that. I love this site....great way for beginners to break in! Thanks!
Mark, Thank you for your kind welcome , not sure what I need to do next to start joining the Tucson group and arranging for playing .. please let me know
Mark, can you refer me to folks (50+) who are near NW Austin more Anderson Mill area? I would like to compile a list of folks who love tennis but also have challenges like bad knees, rotator cuff etc, so I can feel more comforatable with a 45mph serve vs 70 fes@onebox.com
thanks for the tech support on the 'comment' feature, I was wondering what I did wrong. Thanks for the site, I've met one hitting partner already, and will probably get together with another next week. Just curious, is running this site a hobby or are you looking to make it profitable at some point? At any rate, great site, looks like you've got some good momentum here.
Alex
Hi Mark-

We live in different states, BUT the plan is to meet ASAP and play some TENNIS and do 'ritas! That's what we DO here in TEXAS!!!
See ya on the courts!!!
Good moring Mark! I just have to tell you again how much I love this sight! I have already learned so much! Thank you for doing such a superb job! You rock!

Hey Mark, Thank you for a warm welcome. Glad to be a part of this network. I am currently just fitting some time in my busy schedule to play. I love this sport, but I need to work on my Backhand. Thanks again!!!
Just tried again and still cannot get it to work. It keeps saying "Yikes!" a problem has occurred. I also do not see anything about returning to a different loader. It worked for me last week and I don't think I am doing anything wrong! Help!
Hello....it is I....the pest! Okay, I finally got it working!
Can only upload from the one that lets you do many! So, if anyone else is having trouble, tell them to update Java! Still cannot figure out the Zoey avatar thing, but oh well!
I have that DVD..."I Am Trying To Break Your Heart"
also have Tweedy solo DVD
they are the greatest band ever
but the Joshua Tree just got remastered with B-sides and I'm right back into my U2 affair from 20 years ago
hi. mark Thank you for your comment.
To be honest, I don't know how to use this website and how to meet the people in tennis courts in NYC. I'm living in Queen not far from manhattan. it takes for 20 mins by subway to get into Manhattan and even brooklyn. I'm eager to meet and hit the court with a player using this website. I"m looking forward to sharing more information about a match or social things with you and others. Have a great weekend
