Hi. I'm the Community Manager, aka The Mayor of Tennisopolis. Welcome to the site! Tell your friends about us. Use the "invite" tab at the top.
Oh, about me? I'm a website developer as well as a tennis player and huge fan of the pros. I just got moved up to a 4.5 rating - success at last!
I love to follow the pro game. I get fully obsessed during the Grand Slam events to the point where I want to lock the door and just sit around watching in my jammies.
Please invite your friends to join.
Favorite pro tennis player(s):
McEnroe, hands down. Agassi is second. Oh, you wanna know current faves? I like rooting for Murray, Azarenka, Radwanska, Coco. Other retired faves are Santoro and Spadea. Weird group I know, but hey. I love Federer and Nadal too, how can you not?
My tennis skill (please check your NTRP if you know it):
Hi Mark,
I was thinking about a WTT group, but I also have a web site thru work that I post info on about WTT. I was going to send an email blast to the data base I have (70 registered players) about this site. I want to think about your suggestion because I want to make sure I can manage what ever I start. I am sure its a good idea, its my ability to keep up with it the way I would like to that concerns me.
Best,
A
Mark, great idea here dig the interface of the site as well. As a pilot I travel a fair amount and love the idea of building a tennis network. In this day and age, a good tennis match shouldn't be more than a few mouse clicks away no matter where you are. Thanks for moving the tennis world in that direction.
Cheers,
Skeet
We just have to remember to have everyone complete their draw by sunday. Is there away to advertise the game to people who don't post in the forum? It's going to be fun. It's also a great way to advertise the board:)
Hey, ... Mark, 500 members! ... that's worthy of some Congrats! Sounds like you found a good market. 500 members is nothing to sneeze at! I've enjoyed poking around the site a bit, seeing some videos.
I'm sure I haven't seen all there is to see yet.
(.... but that circular rooftop platform court in the Dubai hotel is incredible ... although perhaps a good example of someone having just TOO MUCH money on their hands!)
Anyway, glad the site is meeting with success. - Earl Weldon

Hi Mark,
Thanks for welcoming me :)
I love the atmosphere in this network already. Thank you for creating such a clean environment. It is greatly appreciated. Look forward to my network growing amongst the Dallas area. yay! Can't wait to meet more tennis fans and players!
Thanks Mark, great work. That's an awesome property in Culver City. Pre-fab? I'd love to get a line on some maybe lesser known courts in LA, thinking about joining Beverly Hills; can't beat the price.
cheers,
Alex
I am very excited to be connected to fellow Tennis lovers.I am, however, having trouble searching for members by State or City. Could you create advanced search options in the Member tab?
Id like to be able to find people to play with in my area.
Its going well...I am taking my camera tomorrow when a group of us hit...so hoping to grab a new pic on the court...last ones I have are from Maui and playing with Rod Laver...so it will be up soon
Mark ,
great site..happy to be a part of it. Looking forward to playing , meeting other fanatics and watching some killer tournaments on T.V. All the best , Don
Hi Mark, Excellent idea and great site. I will let all my tennis friends know about it so they can take advantage of the site and the community keeps growing, thanks for the site. Ricardo
thanks for the warm welcome mark. yes, we need a brooklyn group, but i noticed that there isnt even a New York City group!!! Not to be a snob, but it's sort of surprising that there isn't one. This site is great. there's sort of too much to digest, but at least it's there for someone willing to sift through. let me know if i can help with anything.
I don't know how to check for messages nor can I send them for some reason. Can you write a comment on my page instead?
Also, the pages take a long time to load (3-5 mins), I think there's too much stuff on each page. It's like a myspace page where there's just jumbles of information and it's too much.
Mark great site looks like your picture is at the balloon festival. I was just in Albq. last month for the holidays. My daughter enjoyed seeing the balloons up close on their weekend flight.
Only 10 more to go and that 1000 members will be met. I have sent out over 100 e-mails so it should be no time at all. It was good talking to you earlier and I think it should work out well for both of us!

You like the 'stache? I hear they're making a comeback. This is a co-opted image; got it from my friends over at RubberBall.com.
Very usable site you have here. I predict you'll be going places...
